THE LEICESTER (GALLARDS HILL) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Gallards Hill at its junction with Cort Crescent from 8.00am on Monday 4th March 2024 until 5.00pm on Wednesday 6th March 2024.
Diversion route: Cort Crescent, Bendow Rise, Pollard Road.
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Didsbury Street at its junction with Gallards Hill from 8.00am on Wednesday 6th March 2024 until 5.00pm on Friday 8th March 2024.
Diversion route: Cort Crescent, Bendow Rise, Pollard Road. Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Pollard Road at its junction with Gallards Hill from 8.00am on Monday 11th March 2024 until 5.00pm on Wednesday 13th March 2024.
Diversion route: Morcote Road, Didsbury Street, Bendow Rise, Gallards Hill.
This order is necessary to facilitate cable installation works taking place and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public.
This Order will come into effect on the 4th March 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
