What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

A20 COLDHARBOUR LANE & A20 LONDON ROAD, AYLESFORD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow roundabout improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic, in 3 phases, on part of A20 Coldharbour Lane & A20 London Road, Aylesford, on or after 26th February 2024 to 29th November 2024 or until the works have been completed.

A mandatory 30MPH Speed Limit will be imposed on A20 Coldharbour Lane, between the junctions of A20 junction five interchange and A20 London Road. From 26th February 2024 with estimated completion by 29th November 2024. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A20 London Road & A20 Coldharbour Lane will be closed in 3 phases, as detailed below:

Phase 1 - A20 Coldharbour Lane will be closed between the junctions of A20 junction five interchange and A20 London Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. From 11th March 2024, with estimated completion by 24th March 2024. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any southbound through traffic is via M20 J5 Slip Road W/b, M20 J5 to J4 W/b, M20 J4 Slip Road W/b, A228 Leybourne Bypass, A20 Ashton Way, A20 London Road.

The alternative route for any northbound through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway, A229 The Broadway, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Royal Engineers Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, M20 J5 Slip Road W/b, M20 J6 to J5 W/b, M20 J6 Slip Road W/b, A20 Coldharbour Lane.

Phase 2 - A20 Coldharbour Lane will be closed between the junctions of A20 junction five interchange and A20 London Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, from the 26th June 2024 with an estimated completion date of 16th July 2024. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any southbound through traffic is via M20 J5 Slip Road W/b, M20 J5 to J4 W/b, M20 J4 Slip Road W/b, A228 Leybourne Bypass, A20 Ashton Way, A20 London Road.

The alternative route for any northbound through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway, A229 The Broadway, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Royal Engineers Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, M20 J5 Slip Road W/b, M20 J6 to J5 W/b, M20 J6 Slip Road W/b, A20 Coldharbour Lane.

A20 London Road will be closed between the junctions of A20 Coldharbour Lane and St. Laurence Avenue, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, from the 26th June 2024 with an estimated completion date of 16th July 2024. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 Tonbridge Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2246 Fountain Lane, B2246 Hermitage Lane, A20 London Road and Vice Versa.

A20 London Road will be closed between the junctions of A20 Coldharbour Lane and London Road East, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, from the 26th June 2024 with an estimated completion date of 16th July 2024. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, B2246 Hermitage Lane, B2246 Fountain Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Tonbridge Road, A20 London Road and Vice Versa.

Phase 3 -

A20 Coldharbour Lane will be closed between the junctions of A20 junction five interchange and A20 London Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, from the 7th October 2024 with an estimated completion date of 3rd November 2024. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any southbound through traffic is via M20 J5 Slip Road W/b, M20 J5 to J4 W/b, M20 J4 Slip Road W/b, A228 Leybourne Bypass, A20 Ashton Way, A20 London Road.

The alternative route for any northbound through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway, A229 The Broadway, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Royal Engineers Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, M20 J5 Slip Road W/b, M20 J6 to J5 W/b, M20 J6 Slip Road W/b, A20 Coldharbour Lane.

A20 London Road will be closed between the junctions of A20 Coldharbour Lane and St. Laurence Avenue, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, from the 7th October 2024 with an estimated completion date of 3rd November 2024. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 Tonbridge Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2246 Fountain Lane, B2246 Hermitage Lane, A20 London Road and Vice Versa.

A20 London Road will be closed between the junctions of A20 Coldharbour Lane and London Road East, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, from the 7th October 2024 with an estimated completion date of 3rd November 2024. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 London Road, B2246 Hermitage Lane, B2246 Fountain Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Tonbridge Road, A20 London Road and Vice Versa.

BIRLING ROAD, LEYBOURNE, ME19 5JA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birling Road, Leybourne, on or after 11th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed. The one-way order will be suspended to allow access.

The road will be closed outside Leybourne Grange Riding Centre. The one-way order will be suspended between Leybourne Grange Riding Centre and A20 London Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bannister Way, Hawley Drive, A20 London Road and vice versa.

BROADWATER ROAD, WEST MALLING, ME19 6HU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement and tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broadwater Road, West Malling, on or after 28th February 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside 200 to Broadwater Hall, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broadwater Road, Pikey Lane, The Heath, Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street, High Street, Mill Street, Clare Lane, Broadwater Road and vice versa.

HIGH HOUSE LANE, HADLOW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement and tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High House Lane, Hadlow, on or after 13th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Carpenters Lane and Ashes Lane, during the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Carpenters Lane, A26 High Street, A26 Tonbridge Road, Ashes Lane and vice versa.

LOWER STREET, HILDENBOROUGH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Lower Street, Hildenborough, on or after 29th February 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Philpots Lane to the junction of Rings Hill, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Street, Rings Hill, Philpots Lane and vice versa.

NEW HYTHE LANE, LARKFIELD, ME20 7GQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow manhole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Hythe Lane, Larkfield, on or after 12th March 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 432 New Hythe Lane, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bellingham Way, College Road, Papyrus Way and vice versa.

STACEY ROAD, TONBRIDGE, TN10 3AN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow manhole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stacey Road, Tonbridge, on or after 14th March 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 23. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stacey Road, B245 London Road, B245 Tonbridge Road, Hilden Park Road and vice versa.

WHITE HORSE ROAD, BIRLING (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new duct installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of White Horse Road, Birling, on or after 26th February 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Harvel Lodge and Highfield House, during the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via White Horse Road, Harvel Road, A227 Gravesend Road, Vigo Hill, Taylors Lane, Addington Lane, Trottiscliffe Road, A20 London Road, Roughetts Road, The Street, Birling Road, Ryarsh Road, Snodland Road, Stangate Road, Birling Hill, White Horse Road and vice versa.
