Maidstone, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

BURBERRY LANE, LEEDS, ME17 1RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Burberry Lane, Leeds, on or after 11th March 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with B2163 Lower Street and the junction with George Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via B2163 Lower Street, George Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHARLESFORD AVENUE, MAIDSTONE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Charlesford Avenue, Maidstone, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 17, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Whitehall Drive, Chestnut Drive, Ashford Drive and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

HACKNEY ROAD, MAIDSTONE, ME16 8NS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hackney Road, Maidstone, on or after 28th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 56, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Hackney Road, Upper Fant Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, Fant Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

HENIKER LANE, SUTTON VALENCE, ME17 3EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Heniker Lane, Sutton Valence, on or after 26th February 2024, for up to 12 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Henikers Oast, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Heniker Lane, East Sutton Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, Heniker Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

MAIDSTONE ROAD RUN - HEART OF KENT HOSPICE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024

To allow the Maidstone Road Run event to be held by Heart of Kent Hospice, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on various roads in Boughton Monchelsea, Chart Sutton and Linton on 3rd March 2024, or until the event has been completed.

The following roads will be closed for their entire length, between the hours of 08:00 and 12:30 only, on a rolling basis as detailed below:-

Boughton Monchelsea

Hubbards Lane, Haste Hill Road, Beresford Hill, Bottlescrew Hill, Cliff Hill Road, Cliff Hill, Pested Bars Road, Brishing Road, The Quarries, Old Tree Lane, Church Street, Loddington Lane, Lower Farm Road, Back Lane & Park Lane.

Chart Sutton

Brishing Road, Chart Hill Road, Forge Lane, Lucks Lane, Green Lane, Chart Road, Church Road, Warmlake Road & Amber Lane.

Linton

Loddington Lane & Butt Green Lane.

MILL LANE, YALDING. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow overhead structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Yalding, on or after 29th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Vicarage Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Mill Lane, Vicarage Road, B2010 High Street, B2162 Benover Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SHEEPHURST LANE, MARDEN, TN12 9NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sheephurst Lane, Marden, on or after 12th March 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little Sheephurst Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sheephurst Lane, B2162 Maidstone Road, Claygate, Collier Street, Green Lane, Hunton Road, Pattenden Lane, B2079 West End, B2079 Goudhurst Road, Sheephurst Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SHERENDEN LANE, STAPLEHURST, TN12 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sherenden Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 13th March 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Wilding Wood, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sherenden Lane, B2079 Goudhurst Road, Curtis Green Lane, Wilden Park Road, Sherenden Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

YELSTED ROAD, SITTINGBOURNE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Yelsted Road, Sittingbourne, on or after 28th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Yelsted Lane to the junction with Hill Green Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Hill Green Road, West Wood Road, Yelsted Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
