WATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023 (GAMMONS LANE NA EXTENSION) AMENDMENT NO 4 ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned, pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government (Arrangement for discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of powers conferred on that Council under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 45, 46, 46A, 47,49,51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (which said Act of 1984 is hereinafter referred to as "the 1984 Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the 1984 Act. The general effect of this order is to:

  • Introduce Controlled Parking Zone measures on Gammons Lane (west of St. George's Road) by including it with the existing nearby Permit Parking Area Zone (PPA) NA.

  • The area will align with the operational hours of the Controlled Parking Permit Area Zone

NA: Monday to Saturday 8am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm (including Bank Holidays).

The equivalent allocation if the resident is aged 60 years or over is shown in brackets ( ) above. Representations of support or objections to the proposal together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing to the undersigned at the Town Hall, Watford, WD17 3EX, or by email to parkingconsultation@watford.gov.uk

The deadline for the receipt of objections or representations of support is 23:59 on 8th March 2024.
