What is happening?

SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL

THE SOUTHEND BOROUGH COUNCIL (WAITING, LOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2021

Southend-on-Sea City Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, and 122 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) ("the 1984 Act") and the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby give notice that it intends to make the following amendment Orders:

  • The Southend-on-Sea City Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map-Based) (Bournemouth Park Road - outside No.229) Amendment No.27 Order 2023

  • The Southend-on-Sea City Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map-Based) (Bournemouth Park Road - outside No.247) Amendment No.23 Order 2023

  • The Southend-on-Sea City Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map-Based) (Carlingford Drive - outside No.215) Amendment No.26 Order 2023

  • The Southend-on-Sea City Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map-Based) (Bournemouth Park Road - outside No.359) Amendment No.29 Order 2023

The effects of the Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) would be to:

  • Amend the 2 Wheel Parking in Bournemouth Park Road to facilitate the installation and usage of three vehicular crossovers.

  • Amend the Resident Permit Holders Only parking bay (Zone H) Mon-Fri 9.30am-4.30pm in Carlingford Drive to facilitate the installation and usage of two vehicular crossovers.

Further details and exact locations effected by the amended Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) are as stated in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

Copies of the proposed Order, the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and plans showing the proposals, along with a copy of the 2021 Consolidation Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive at the Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea SS2 6ER, or, online via our Map Based Traffic Order software TraffWeb App or on the Councils website. Persons desiring to make representation can do so by: making a comment on the TraffWeb system under 'Public Consultation' using the following link, https://southend.traffweb.app/traffweb/2/PublicConsultation, or by emailing traffweb@southend.gov.uk, or stating the grounds thereof in writing addressed to the Traffic

  • PTO1073 - Bournemouth Park Road - Outside No.359

Southend-on-Sea City Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 45, 46, 46A, 51 and 122 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) ("the 1984 Act") and the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") and of al other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby give notice that it intends to make the following amendment order:

The Southend-on-Sea City Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map-Based) (No Waiting and Permit Bay Zone MW Restrictions) (Milton Ward) Amendment No.02 Order 2024 The effect of the TRO would be to amend parking controls in the Milton Ward area within Southend-on-Sea City as follows:

  • To introduce No Waiting 8am-6pm (Monday-Sunday) restrictions at the locations specified in Table 1 to this Notice;

  • To introduce a Permit Holders only (Zone MW) 8am-6pm (Monday-Sunday) bay at the locations specified in Table 1 to this Notice.

  • Permit charges apply where parking bays are designated as permit holders only on the map schedules and by sign plate and subject to the permit and voucher charges set out in Table 2 to this notice.

The changes for on-street parking will amend the following Order;
