What is happening?

SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
(STATION ROAD, EAST BOLDON) ORDER 2023

On 7 February 2024 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order which comes into operation on 26 February 2024 will Revoke limited waiting 30mins no return within 4hrs Mon-Sat 8am-6pm restrictions on Station Rd south side from a point 2m east of the east kerb of St Johns Terrace for 30m in an easterly direction (within the layby) and limited waiting 2 hrs no return within 2 hrs Mon – Sat 8am-6pm on Station Rd south side from a point 70m east of the east kerb of St Johns Terrace for 17m in an easterly direction.
Revoke no waiting at any time on Station Rd south side from a point 32m east of the east kerb of St Johns Terrace for 38m in an easterly direction and no loading/unloading at any time on Station Rd south-east side from a point 32m northeast of the northeast kerb line of St Johns Terrace for 38m in a north easterly direction. Introduce: limited waiting 30mins no return within 4hrs Mon-Sat 8am-6pm on Station Rd southeast side from a point 5.5m northeast of its junction with St Johns Terrace in a north eastwards direction for 20.5m and from a point 26m northeast of its junction with St JohnsTerrace in a north eastwards direction for 18m; limited waiting 2 hrs no return within 2 hrs Mon – Sat 8am-6pm on Station Rd southeast side from a point 70m east of the east kerb of St Johns Terrace for 12m in a north easterly direction. Introduce no waiting and no loading/unloading at any time on Station Rd southeast side from a point 45m northeast of the east kerb of St Johns Terrace for 25m in a north easterly direction.
Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road
affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall, Westoe Road, South Shields, NE33 2RL.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 7 February 2024 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
