Church Avenue - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH 0709013 PENWORTHAM, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpath indicated below:-
Public Footpath 0709013 Penwortham, South Ribble, from Church Avenue at Point A (GR 352348 – 428826) in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 90 metres to Point B (GR 352397 – 428744).
The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking any necessary works
The Order will be operative from the 20th February, 2024, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
