What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) THE WALTHAM FOREST (VARIOUS ROADS) (LEAD PIPE REPLACEMENT) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends or making an Order to enable Thames Water lead pipe replacement works to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in various roads within the said borough

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles (except works vehicles) from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in the roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice. Whilst works are being carried out and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load for any purpose, at any time, within 15 metres of the junction of any road adjoining the roads mentioned in the Schedule of this Notice.

Whilst works are being carried out and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed any one-way working or no-entry prohibitions in any roads or parts of roads mentioned in the Schedule of this Notice, or in any roads or parts of roads adjoining the roads or parts of roads mentioned in the Schedule of this Notice would be temporarily suspended.

The Order would come into operation on 29th February 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner (this applies to all roads mentioned in the Schedule and allows for unforeseen constraints which may abort works until a future time) (ref: TT9(24))

NOTE: These works would not be carried out simultaneously in all roads but in a sequence as directed by the Council.

Schedule

E7 road: Ramsay Road

E11 roads: Cary Road (between its junctions with Matcham Road and Selby Road), Malvern Road Matcham Road, Kingswood Road, Steele Road; E15 roads: Argyle Road, Borthwick Road; and E17 road: Cecil Road (east - west arm)

THE WALTHAM FOREST (THAMES WATER MAINTENANCE WORKS) (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (the Council) HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for the maintenance of Thames Water apparatus to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in various roads within the said borough.

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles (except works vehicles) from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in:

(a) Belton Road E11 - between its junction with High Road Leytonstone and a point 6 metres eastward from the said junction;

(b) High Road Leytonstone E11 (east side) - between the common boundary of Nos. 200/202 and a point in between Nos. 204/206; and

(c) Station Road E17 - between its junctions with St James Street and with Lynmouth Road Designated controlled parking space situated in any road or part of road affected by the measures set out in paragraph 2 will be suspended.

The Order would come into operation on 3rd March 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: These works would not be carried out simultaneously in all roads. The works at each site are expected to be completed within 1 night, however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (ref: TT11(24))

THE WALTHAM FOREST (THAMES WATER MAINS AND SUPPLY) (AINSLIE WOOD GARDENS E4) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (the Council) HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 15th February 2024 it made an Order to allow for the replacement of the water mains and other apparatus, by Thames Water, in a safe and efficient manner in Ainslie Wood Gardens E4.

The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles (except works vehicles) from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in:

(a) Ainslie Wood Gardens E4 (AWG) - between its junctions with Larkswood Road and with Ainslie Wood Road;

(b) Larkswood Road E4 (south side) - between the common boundaries of Nos. 57/59 and of Nos. 65/67.**

** The notice corrects an error made previously on the extents of the road closure boundary in Larkswood Road E4.

Uncontrolled parking space situated in any road or part of road affected by the measures set out in paragraph 2 will be suspended.

The Order will come into operation on 19th February 2024 and for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works in Ainslie Wood Gardens E4 would be carried out in three phases, by dividing the said road into 3 sections, as described in the Schedule to this notice. The works in each section are expected to be completed within 3 weeks, however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (ref: TT12(24))

SCHEDULE

Phase 1: between the junction of AWG with Ainslie Wood Road and the common boundary of Nos 27/29 AWG;

Phase 2: between the common boundaries of Nos. 25/27 AWG and of Nos. 63/65 AWG; and Phase 3: between the common boundaries of Nos. 61/63 AWG and the junction of AWG with Larkswood Road (as described in point (b) above).

THE WALTHAM FOREST (POWER ON ELECTRICAL WORKS) (PRIORY AVENUE E17) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for electrical works to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in Priory Avenue E17, by Power On Electric.

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles (except work vehicles) from waiting or loading for any purpose, at 'any time" in Priory Avenue E17 (PA) - (north side) - between its junctions with Hoe Street and with Sylvan Road.

Designated controlled parking space situated in the part of the road affected by the measures set out in paragraph 2 above will be suspended.

The Order would come into operation on 24th February 2024 for a maximum period of 3 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works in Priory Avenue E17 would be carried out in three phases, by dividing the said road into 3 sections, as described in the Schedule to this notice. The works in each section are expected to be completed within 8 days, however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (ref: TT13(24))

SCHEDULE

Phase 1: between the flank wall of No.60 PA and the common boundary of Nos. 34/36 PA

Phase 2: between the common boundaries of Nos. 34/36 PA and of Nos. 12/14 PA; and

Phase 3: between the common boundaries of Nos. 12/14 PA and the junction of PA with Hoe Street.

Vehicles waiting or loading in disregard of these aforementioned Orders would be removed.

Whilst the prohibitions referred to in the aforementioned notices above remain in force, advance warning signage and alternative routes for traffic shall be in place.

The prohibitions mentioned in all notices above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used

(a) in connection with the said works; or

(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow)

Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the roads mentioned in the aforementioned notices which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions, effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary
