What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

(Various Roads in Ewell) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 202-

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-named Order, under section 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to impose a 20mph speed limit on the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. The speed limit proposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011. A copy of the proposed Order together with the plan showing the lengths of road to which this Order relates and a Statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed online at www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/policies-plans-consultations/roads-and-transport-consultations (follow the link to Various Roads in Ewell 20mph Speed Limit Proposal). These documents and a copy of the proposed Order may also be viewed at

(1) Reception, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, by appointment only;

(2) Epsom Town Hall, The Parade, Epsom, KT18 5BY, during normal office hours; and (3) Ewell Court Library, Ewell Court House, Lakehurst Road, Ewell, KT19 0EB. If you wish to object to, or make representations relating to, the proposed Order, you must send the grounds for your objection or representation (including any in support) by

(1) using the online form via the webpage quoted above; or

(2) in writing to the undersigned at Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ by 14 March 2024.

(1) The entire length of Riverview Road (D2358) Ewell; (2) The entire length of Huntsmoor Road (D2220) Ewell; (3) The entire length of Bridle Close (D2408) Ewell; (4) The entire length of Tealing Drive (D2410) Ewell; (5) The entire length of Percival Way (D2333) Ewell; (6) The entire length of Curtis Road (D2105) Ewell; (7) The entire length of Fairway Close (D2158) Ewell; (8) that length of Kingston Road (Service Road 431-545) (D2358) Ewell as extends from its junction with (D2410) Tealing Drive to its junction with (D2358) Riverview Road; (9) The entire length of Francis Close (D2164) Ewell.
