What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(MAYORS WALK AVENUE, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 43) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for disconnect and lay 5 new services to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Mayors Walk Avenue,

Pontefract, for approximately 6 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Mayors Walk Avenue.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

19th February 2024 to 23rd February 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(GREAT NORTH ROAD, WENTBRIDGE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 45) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to remove diseased trees which are a danger to public safety due to height and condition of the trees to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Great North Road, Wentbridge from Westfield Lane to Moor Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Great North Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Signed diversion will be installed.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

19th February 2024 to 21st February 2024,

09.00 hours to 15.00 hours daily or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HIGH STREET, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 51) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for annual level crossing test to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Castleford, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Street, Wood Street, A6032, A639, Lumley Street.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including

4th March 2024 at 22.00 hours to 5th March 2024 at 05.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(STOCKINGATE, SOUTH KIRKBY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 52) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace carriageway defect around manhole cover

& frame to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Stockingate, South Kirkby for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Stockingate. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: White Apron Street, Stockingate & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th March 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible. Dated this 15th day of February 2024
