What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PARADISE STREET, RAMSBOTTOM) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-
Paradise Street, Ramsbottom - from a point 20 m north of Back Bridge Street for a distance of 25 m in a northerly direction (to the electricity sub station) The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate electricity works. The alternative route will be via Bridge Street and Crow Lane & vice-versa.
The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 26 February 2024 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 4 days.

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (REVOCATION OF STOPPING ON SCHOOL ENTRANCE MARKINGS) AND (INTRODUCTION OF PROHIBITION OF WATTING/LOADING AT ANY TIME) (PARR LANE, BURY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council propose to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) as follows:-The effect of the Order will be to introduce the prohibition of Waiting/Loading at any time and the revocation of existing No Stopping on School Entrance Markings at Parr Lane Bury.
Proposed Introduction of Prohibition of Waiting/Loading at any time (operational on all days at all times) Parr Lane Bury - Easterly side from a point 11m north-east opposite of the gable of No.60 Parr Lane for a distance of 55m in a north-easterly direction.
Proposed Revocation of Existing Stopping on School Entrance Markings Castlebrook High School Parr Lane Bury - South East side between points 12.75m north east and 12.75m south west of the centre line of the northerly pedestrian access to Castlebrook High School.
A copy of the draft Order (including the exemptions contained within it) with plans showing the roads and areas affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Orders can be requested by emailing the below email address quoting ref: TM2-23-542 or writing to the address below.
All representations whether in support or objecting to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to 3 Knowsley Place, Duke St, Bury BL9 0EJ or by email to TROobjections@bury.gov.uk quoting ref: TM2-23-542 by 07.03.24
All representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 and WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PART OF BRIDLEWAY NUMBER 67, BURY) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2023
On 7 February 2024 the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury confirmed the above Order made on 12 December 2023 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the public right of way over the land situate at Redmere Drive, Bury and shown by a continuous bold line on the map attached to the Order and a new bridleway be created over the said land shown by a continuous bold line with spaced vertical lines on the map attached to the Order after seven days from the date of this notice and thereupon the Definitive Map and Statement for Bury shall be modified accordingly in accordance with Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
Copies of the Order and Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Reception Desk, Town Hall, Knowsley St, Bury, BL9 0SW during normal office hours. This Order comes into force on 22 February 2024 but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to confirmation of the Order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date hereof.
