TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the
roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY BUS LANE SUSPENSION ORDER ON
UTTOXETER NEW ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 21 February 2024 to 23 February 2024. WHERE: Uttoxeter
New Road, from outside number 346 to outside number 350 –
a distance of approximately 40 metres REASON: Electric works
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
HOLBROOK ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 19 February 2024 to 20 February 2024 (Daily: 09:30 to
15:00) WHERE: Holbrook Road, from its junction with Rainham
Gardens to its junction with Sandgate Close REASON: Carriageway
resurfacing works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Holbrook Road – Field
Lane – Crayford Road – Holbrook Road and the same in the opposite
direction
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF RIGHT HAND TURN ON
STATION APPROACH, DERBY
WHEN: 12 February 2024 to 07 April 2024 WHERE: Station
Approach, suspend the right turn into Siddals Road REASON:
Highway construction work ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Railway Terrace –
Midland Road – London Road – Canal Street – Siddals Road

Mayfair Crescent REASON: Carriageway works ALTERNATIVE
ROUTE: Mayfair Crescent – Muswell Road – Prince Charles Avenue
and the same in the opposite direction.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
RAILWAY TERRACE AND MIDLAND ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 4 March 2024 to 14 March 2024 (Daily: 21:00 to 07:00)
WHERE: Railway Terrace, from its junction with Midland Road to its
junction with on Midland Place Midland Road, from its junction with
Park Street to its junction with Railway Terrace REASON: Construction
works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Midland Road – London Road – Traffic
Street – The Cock Pitt – Station Approach. And Railway Terrace –
Siddals Road – Station Approach – The Cock Pitt – Traffic Street –
London Road – Midland Road (Access to Leeds Place maintained by
Traffic Marshals at both closure points)

BREEDON HILL ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 13 March 2024 to 15 March 2024 WHERE: Breedon Hill
Road, from its junction with Empress Road to its junction with Burton
Road REASON: Drainage works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Empress
Road – Stone Hill Road – Burton Road and the same in the opposite
direction
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON ABBEY STREET
AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY ORDER ON
FORMAN STREET AND MONK STREET NORTH, DERBY
WHEN: 2 March 2024 to 3 March 2024 WHERE: Abbey Street, at
its junction with Macklin Street – for a distance of approximately
20 metres in a northerly direction REASON: Gas works ALTERNATIVE
ROUTE: Abbey Street – Mercian Way – Curzon Street – Abbey Street
And Abbey Street – Curzon Street – Mercian Way – Circumnavigate
Burton Road Roundabout – Mercian Way – Abbey Street. And Abbey
Street – Curzon Street – Forman Street – Monk Street North and the
same in the opposite direction
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
GOODSMOOR ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 4 March 2024 to 8 March 2024 (22:00 to 06:00 only)
WHERE: Goodsmoor Road, from its junction with East Croft Avenue
to its junction with Bramblehedge Drive. REASON: Railway Bridge
works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Goodsmoor Road – Wordsworth
Avenue – Sinfin Lane – Grampian Way – Stenson Road – Goodsmoor
Road and the same in the opposite direction.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the
affected length of road. The road will be re-opened as soon as the
