(TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER
2024 (BX24-025)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council has made an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, in
respect of roads at Chilwell &
Attenborough in the Borough of
Broxtowe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles and pedal
cycles are prohibited from
proceeding in any direction
other than specified in the
following length of road:
a. Ranson Road - (south to
north) from its junction with
A6005 Nottingham Road in
a northerly direction for a
distance of 70 metres.
There will be a one-way
operation and vehicles are
allowed to travel in a northerly
direction only.
2. Vehicles are prohibited
from turning Right in the
following length of roada.
A6005 Nottingham Road
- Right Hand Turn Lane onto
Ranson Road.
2. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting the
above road or roads will apply
as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Monday
19th February 2024
Until 18:00 hours on Friday
15th March 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the
alternative route available
will be:
A6005 Nottingham Road -
Swiney Way - Ranson Road
and vice versa.
The Order will come into force
on Monday 12th February
2024 and any prohibition in
it shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when
necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order
shall continue in force until the
works are completed (within a
maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to
enable Cadent Gas to carry out
gas mains replacement works;
