What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14(1)(a)
THE M5 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 29 TO 27)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways
Limited (a) has made an Order on the M5 Motorway
in the County of Devon so resurfacing and associated
works can be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place overnight
(20.00 to 06.00) on or after 19 February 2024 and be
completed by 6 April 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to authorise the closure of:
(a) the northbound carriageway of the M5 between
Junctions 29 and 27;
(b) the northbound entry slip road at Junction 29;
(c) the northbound entry and exit slips road at
Junction 28;
During the closures traffic will be diverted via junctions
of the M5 and local roads.
The closures (which will not apply to emergency
services and works vehicles), and diversion routes
will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout
the works period and will only apply when traffic
management measures are in place.
The Order will come into force on 17 February 2024
and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
