West Berkshire, Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works.
What is happening?
WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL
UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL)
INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING
(PANGBOURNE HILL, PANGBOURNE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Pangbourne Hill in Pangbourne between its junction with Stokes View and its junction with Riverview Road.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Tidmarsh Road (A340), Tidmarsh Lane, Bere Court Road, and vice versa.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for SGN to carry out disconnection works.
The proposed Order will come into effect on 19th February 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 19th and 23rd February 2024.
(STATION ROAD AND HANGAR ROAD IN THE PARISH OF THEALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Station Road and Hangar Road in Theale between its junction with Brunel Road and Theale swing bridge.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Hangar Road, Unnamed Road from Hangar Road to Hose Hill, Deans Copse Road, Burghfield Road, A4 Bath Road, Waterside Drive, Brunel Road and vice versa.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Openreach safe access to underground structure.
The proposed Order will come into effect on 16th February 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place from 08:00 to 16:00 hours on 17th and 18th February 2024.
Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
