THE A12 TRUNK ROAD (PARK ROAD, LANGHAM, ESSEX) NORTHBOUND SLIP ROADS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A12 Trunk Road in the County of Essex to enable third party underground communication works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take place over 2 nights (9pm - 5am), starting on, or after Tuesday 27 February 2024. The effect of the Order will be to close the northbound entry and exit slip roads to and from the A12 at Park Road, Langham. Traffic wishing to -

  • enter the A12 northbound carriageway at Park Lane will be diverted via Wick Road and Birchwood Road to join the A12 southbound carriageway to Crown Interchange then return via the A12 northbound carriageway, and
  • leave the A12 northbound carriageway at Park Lane will be diverted to continue on the A12 to exit at Ipswich Road and return on the A12 southbound carriageway to exit onto Birchwood Road, then Wick Road and Park Lane to continue their journey.

The closures (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles) and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. The Order will come into force on 19 February 2024 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
