What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FAR GOSFORD STREET

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on that part of Far Gosford Street commencing at its junction with Vecqueray Street and continuing to its junction with Sky Blue Way.

The Order will come into effect at 07.00 hours on Friday 16th February 2024 and is required to facilitate road marking installation and associated works on Far Gosford Street.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 26th February 2024.

Diversion routes will be sign posted where appropriate and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the closed section of Far Gosford Street

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS LESINGHAM DRIVE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Lesingham Drive fronting house number 16 to its junction with Bradnick Place.

The Order will come into effect from 08:00 hours on Monday 19th February 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent water connection works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 19:00 hours on Tuesday 27th February 2024.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

(d) local vehicular access to Lesingham Drive

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS LOWE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Lowe Road from its junction with Keresley Brook Road

The Order will come into effect from 08:00 hours on Monday 19th February 2024 and is required to enable communication pipe works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 19:00 hours on Thursday 7th March 2024.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

(d) local vehicular access to Lowe Road

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS KEPPEL STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Keppel Street, Coventry from number 29 Keppel Street and continuing to number 43 Keppel Street.

The Order would come into effect from 08:00 hours on Monday 26th February 2024 and is required to enable the safe repair of a manhole cover and frame on the said length of the road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 hours on Monday 26th February 2024.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
CITY OF COVENTRY (FAR GOSFORD STREET AREA)
(RED ROUTE & WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the following Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”), which come into effect on 26th February 2024.

The Order retains the Red Route but implements a revised scheme for the provision of loading and waiting along Far Gosford Street.

The effect of the Order will be: -

A The retention of the following changes made in November 2022:

• The provision of shared use parking bays (for permit holders & short stay parking) with a duration of stay (2 hours) on Vecqueray St and Bramble St

• The changes made to Grafton Street, amending a 25m length of no waiting, Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm, to no waiting at any time.

B Amending of the Red Route scheme on Far Gosford St, which prevents stopping at any time, except in designated waiting and loading areas, by:

• Reducing the duration of limited waiting from 2 hours to 30 minutes, to encourage a turnover of spaces.
• Overall increasing the number of limited waiting bays.
• Changing the use of 3 disabled parking bays to limited waiting bays.
• Changing the use of 1 loading bay to disabled parking.
• Creating 2 bays for loading 6am-noon and limited waiting (30 minute duration) noon - 6pm.
• Removing approx. 20m of no stopping restriction (double red lines) in the layby outside no’s 72/74 to assist the changes.

The Order will be implemented initially on an experimental basis for eighteen (18) months, after which time it will be reviewed. The Council may then make the Order permanent or abandon it.

A copy of this Notice, the sealed Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry. gov.uk/tro’

Objections must be made in writing and must state the grounds on which they are made.

To facilitate the making of the Order the existing City of Coventry (Far Gosford Street Area) (Red Route & Waiting Restrictions) (Experimental) Order 2022 will be revoked at midnight 25th February 2024 in accordance with Article 84 of the aforementioned order.

TEMPORARY PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY/ FOOTPATH CLOSURES
GRESWOLD CLOSE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be a closure of the lengths of footpath detailed in the Schedule below (when appropriate signage is in place).

The Order would come into operation at 00.01 hours on Thursday 29th February 2024, and is required to enable Virgin Media to install ducting and chambers safely. The maximum duration of this Order is six (6) months but it is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 7th March 2024.

The Order would remain valid for six (6) months.

Alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure would be signed along the footway of Greswold Close, F P Greswold Close From the Side Of No 8 To No 20 and Gravel Hill.

TEMPORARY PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY/ FOOTPATH CLOSURES
FP CRAKSTON CLOSE FROM NO. 16 TO MAYFLOWER DRIVE SIDE OF NO.73

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be a closure of the length of footpath detailed in the Schedule below (when appropriate signage is in place).

The Order would come into operation at 00.01 hours on Monday 26th February 2024, and is required to enable BT to carry out new customer connection works safely.

The maximum duration of this Order is six (6) months but it is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 28th March 2024. Alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure would be the footpath on Crakston Close from No 17 To Mayflower Drive Side of No 87, Mayflower Drive and would be sign posted on site.

PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER CITY OF COVENTRY (NORTH VIEW)
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant to its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”).

The effect of the proposed Order is to introduce a prohibition of waiting (double yellow lines), along the whole length of North View (both sides of the road).

The restriction is proposed to assist access by large lorries, which are currently being obstructed by parked vehicles, into business premises on this route.

A copy of this Notice, the draft Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www. coventry.gov.uk/tro’

FLETCHAMSTEAD HIGHWAY SERVICE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Fletchamstead Highway Service Road fronting numbers 503 to 505

The Order would come into effect from Sunday 25th February 2024 and is required to enable telecommunication apparatus works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Sunday 25th February 2024.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WALL HILL ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Wall Hill Road commencing from its junction with Hawkes Mill Lane, proceeding north for approximately 107m in length along the said road, up to Chapter Paddocks ( 91) and No 122 Wall Hill Road.

The Order would come into effect at 08:00 hours on Thursday 29th February 2024 and is required to enable a pole test to take place safely on the said length of road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 18:00 hours on Thursday 29th February 2024.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS & ESTABLISHMENT OF CYCLE TRACK
EARLSDON LIVEABLE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Notice is hereby given that, Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant to its powers under sections 65 (1), 65(2) and 66 of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers hereby propose to introduce sections of Unsegregated Cycle Track along the western side and parts of the eastern side of Albany Road between its junction with Newcombe Road and the railway bridge located north of that junction. Notice is also hereby given that, the Council, pursuant to its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Orders (“the Orders”).

The Orders are proposed as part Earlsdon Liveable Neighbourhood Scheme, a traffic management scheme proposed to create more social space within the highway, with more attractive environments for walking and cycling.
