Langaller Lane, Temporary Closure due to Excavation Works

Temporary Closure of Langaller Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Langaller Lane - from 50 metres north east of North End with Langaller Lane, north-eastwards for a total distance of 119 metres.
This Order will enable JAO Groundworks Ltd to carry out excavation works on behalf of Wessex Water.
Closure will be in force between the hours of 08:00 -17:00. The Order becomes effective on 29th February 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 7th March 2024 and last until 21st March 2024 between the hours of 08:00 -17:00 for a total of 15 days.
There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
