Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 15th February 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 13th February 2024 made the following temporary traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOLLY LANE, NORTH CRAWLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1907)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Folly Lane, North Crawley (From its junction with High Street to its junction with Shire Lane), on 21 February 2024 (Between 9:30am and 3:30pm).
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable Openreach to carry out maintenance works.
Alternative routes will be provided where possible, which will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Signs Manual.
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (YARDLEY ROAD (PART), OLNEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1912)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Yardley Road, Olney (From its junction with Court Farm to its junction with Bedford Road East), from 19 February 2024 to 16 April 2024.
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway (to allow Cadent to carryout gas mains replacement works).
Alternative routes will be provided where possible, which will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Signs Manual.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD (PART), MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1901)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Newport Road, Moulsoe (From its junction with A509 to its junction with Number 82 Newport Road Moulsoe), 19 February 2024 and 28 February 2024.
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway (to allow Anglian Water to carry out new connection works).
Alternative routes will be provided where possible, which will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Signs Manual.
Traffic Regulation Order 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SINGLETON DRIVE AND REDWAY GF03 (PARTS), GRANGE FARM) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1914)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Singleton Drive, Grange Farm (from its junction with Dunthorne Way for 50 metres in a northerly direction) and Redway SCE05, Shenley Church End (from its junction with Dunthorne Way for 50 metres in a northerly direction), from 19 February 2024 to 26 February 2024.
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway (to allow Global Utility Connections to safely install ducts in the redway and carriageway).
Alternative routes will be provided where possible, which will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Signs Manual.
Traffic Regulation Order 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THEYDON AVENUE (PART), WOBURN SANDS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1905)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Theydon Avenue, Woburn Sands (from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Wood Street), 19th February 2024 and 23rd February 2024 (8:00am to 5:00pm each day).
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway (to allow Gigaclear to safely clear blockages in their network to provide a new connection).
Alternative routes will be provided where possible, which will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Signs Manual.
Traffic Regulation Order 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (A422 MONKS WAY AND WILLEN ROAD, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY 40MPH AND 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1876)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following parts of roads at a speed in excess of 30mph and 40mph, from 19 February 2024 to 19 August 2024:
30mph Speed Restriction
Willen Road, Newport Pagnell (Northbound and Southbound) – From its junction with A422 Monks Way to its junction with Tongwell Roundabout.
40mph Speed Restriction
A422 Monks Way, Newport Pagnell (Eastbound and Westbound) – From its junction with Brickhill Street to its junction with London Road.
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway (to allow Winvic Construction to carry out highway upgrade works).
Alternative routes will be provided where possible, which will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Signs Manual.
Traffic Regulation Order 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (TIMBOLD DRIVE (PART), KENTS HILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1900)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close Timbold Drive, Kents Hill (from its junction with Hammerwood Gate for a distance of 50 metres in a northerly direction), From 19 February 2024 to 23 February 2024.
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway (to allow National Grid to safely undertake excavations for a road crossing in the carriageway).
Alternative routes will be provided where possible, which will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Signs Manual.
