What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Weeland Road, Eggborough, Order 2024, No. 38 We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Weeland Road, Eggborough for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 19/02/24 & 19/07/24, due to works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 19/10/24. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Chester Court Road, Camblesforth, Order 2024, No. 51 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Chester Court Road, Camblesforth for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 04/03/24 & 15/03/24, due to works to alleviate flooding. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Station Road, Selby, Order 2024, No. 53 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Station Road, Selby for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 04/03/24 & 15/03/24, due to works to allow new supply to be energised to allow improvements at Selby train station. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Intake Lane, Beal, Order 2024, No. 54 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Intake Lane, Beal for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 04/03/24 & 15/03/24, due to bridge repairs. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Tbc, Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Selby) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified:- Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking Barlby, Turnhead Crescent, Northeast & Southeast side, from York Road junction to 17m onto Turnhead Crescent - Waiting Prohibited at All Times, with Exemptions. 40 Mph Speed Limit, A162 & B1222, Sherburn in Elmet, Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph on any length of road specified in Part 1 & Part 2:- Part 1 A162, from the southern exit of the roundabout with the A162/B1222/Moor Lane, Sherburn in Elmet south for 316m. A162, from the northern exit of the roundabout with the A162/B1222/Moor Lane, Sherburn in Elmet north for 330m. Part 2 B1222, from the eastern exit of the roundabout with the A162, Sherburn in Elmet for 2021m. 40 Mph Speed Limit, Riccall Lane, Kelfield, Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that on 02/02/24 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph on any length of road specified:- Kelfield, Riccall Lane, SW & NW side, from a point 25m west from the centreline of access of Rose Cottage to existing 30mph sign board on Kelfield Road. A copy of the Order which comes into operation on 19/02/24, may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Barlby Library, Howden Road, Barlby, Selby YP8 5JE, during normal office hours from 15/02/24 until 15/03/24 & also viewed online at

If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 02/02/24 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
