What is happening?

U67 TWEED CLOSE, EAST ORD C57 EAST ORD MAIN ROAD
THROUGH VILLAGE EAST ORD
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in the County of Northumberland:
U67 Tweed Close from its junction with C57 heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 21 metres
C57 East Ord Main Road Through Village from its junction with U67 heading in a southerly direction for a length of 30 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 19th February 2024 until the 29th March 2024.
It is expected that the following roads will only be closed on the following dates:
U67 Tweed Close on the 19th February 2024 until the 1st March 2024 between 08:30 until 17:00
C57 East Ord Main Road Through Village on the 4th March 2024 until the 15th March 2024 between 08:30 until 17:00. The Order however will remain in place until 29th March 2024
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Rotary Way, East Ord Main Road Through Village and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Esh Construction to carry out a new sewer connection.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
