What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
PUBLIC FOOTPATH N42 NUNEATON
Order Effect: Footpath closed to ALL traffic from Grid reference Easting 438752, Northing 290431 to
Easting 438785, Northing 290519.
Reason for Order: To avoid the likelihood of danger to the public while development works are in progress.
Order Commences: 25 August 2023 for up to 6 months and was due to expire 24 February 2024.
However, the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15 (5) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 has directed that the Order shall continue in force until 24 February 2025, or until
works are completed, whichever is the earlier (unless the Secretary of State issues a further direction).
Access & Diversion: A diversion will be provided running parallel to the existing line.

C126 ANSLEY LANE, ANSLEY
Order Effect: Road closed between B4112 Birmingham Road and Rectory Road.
Reason for Order: Pre-surface dressing patching works, closed 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 20 February 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 February 2024.
Access & Diversion: B4112 (Birmingham Road, Nuneaton Road), B4114 Nuneaton Road, B4098
Tamworth Road, Devitts Green Lane (Wood Lane), Woodside, Oak Avenue, Rectory Road and vice versa.

C18 GOODYERS END LANE, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed between Hospital Lane and Bowling Green Lane.
Reason for Order: Pre-surface dressing patching works, closed 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 22 February 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 February 2024.
Access & Diversion: Bowling Green Lane, Church Lane, Vicarage Lane, Royal Oak Lane and vice versa.

D16320 BARTON ROAD, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Mount Pleasant Road and
Bede Road.
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching and associated works, 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 21 February 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 23 February 2024.
Access & Diversion: Mount Pleasant Road, Bede Road and vice versa.
Acess/egress to/from Cheveral Road and Tulliver Close may be limited while works are in progress.

D13950 MARNER ROAD, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road between Barton Road and College Street.
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching works, closed 08.00hrs-16.00 hrs.
Order Commences: 22 February 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 February 2024.
Access & Diversion: Marner Road, Middlemarch Road, Coventry Road, College Street and vice versa.

D10680 HILARY ROAD, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between the junctions of Black-A-Tree Road & Acacia
Road. In addition, the weight restriction on Hilary Road, between the junctions of Ennell Road & Queen
Elizabeth Road, and on Black-A-Tree Road, between Hilary Road and Haunchwood Road, will be
temporarily suspended.
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching and associated works, 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 22 February 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 22 February 2024.
Access & Diversion: Hilary Road, Black-A-Tree Road, Tomkinson Road, Queens Road, Manor Court
Road, Midland Road, Tuttle Hill, Arrow Road, Ennel Road and vice versa.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH B30 LOCATED OFF SMARTS ROAD, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic at that section, which is currently a crushed stone path, from
X 434954, Y 286251 to X 435060, Y 286327 and that section, which is currently a trodden grass path,
from X 435060, Y 286327 to X 435060, Y 286408.
Reason for Order: To enable resurfacing works.
Order Commences: 19 February 2024 for up to 6 months.
Anticipated Completion: 6 August 2024.
Access & Diversion: There is no alternative route available.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
D16730 HEATH ROAD, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed between Heather Drive and Newtown Road.
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching works, closed 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.
Order Commences: 4 March 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 4 March 2024.
Access & Diversion: Newtown Road, Woodlands Road, Bedworth Lane, Astley Lane, Smorrall Lane,
Heath Road and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land
situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will
be maintained where possible.

(B4112 NUNEATON ROAD/BULKINGTON LANE, BULKINGTON) (RESTRICTED ROAD) ORDER 2024
Warwickshire County Council propose to make the above named Order under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to direct that the length of road described in the
Schedule below shall become a restricted road for the purposes of section 81 of the Act (30 mph by
virtue of street lighting).
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan showing the length of road affected, a statement of
the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, and a copy of an Order to be revoked, may be
inspected at the Main Reception, Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick during usual opening hours, or
online at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/news/20207/nuneaton-bedworth-borough.
Any objections or representations to the proposals, which must be in writing and specify the grounds
on which they are made, should be addressed to Candie Humphreys, County Highways Minor Works,

That length of the Nuneaton Road/Bulkington Lane, Bulkington (B4112) which extends from the
northern side of the junction of Nuneaton Road and Arden Road, generally north westwards to the Canal
Bridge at Marston Jabbett.
