Ealing Road - Parking Amendments & Waiting Restrictions
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
PARKING AMENDMENTS AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS EALING ROAD BY VILLAGE GREEN
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing on 12th February 2024 made the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 ,49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended:
• The Ealing (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. 889) Order 2024; and
• The Ealing (Parking Places) (Stop and Shop with additional Cashless Parking) (No.1, 2022) (Amendment No. 5) Order 2024.
2. The Orders have been made in connection with “Visions for Northolt”. Ealing Council is carrying out highway improvement works along Ealing Road by the Village Green. Further information on this project can be found at https://visionsfornortholt.co.uk/projects.html
3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to:
(a) vary existing waiting restrictions so that they will apply at any time; or
(b) implement “at any time” waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets described in the Schedule to this Notice.
4. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be to remove the existing echelon parking in Ealing Road and replace it with kerbside parking with a 30-minute limit of free parking. The operational hours of the parking places will be between 8 am to 6.30 pm Mondays to Saturdays and no return to the bays will be permitted for 1 hour.
5. Vehicles will be permitted to remain in these parking places beyond the 30-minute free parking period for an additional period of up to 2 hours on payment of a parking charge of between 70 and £1.40 per hour based on vehicle emissions. The parking charge will be payable through the telephone payment system operated by “PayByPhone” and will be required to be paid for by the end of the free parking period.
6. The Orders, which will come into operation on 15th February 2024, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders including plans, are available by e-mail from trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk or for inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 25th March 2024.
7. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 25th March 2024.

Ealing Road
(a) The east side, between a point 8.8 metres north of a
point opposite the party wall of Nos.10 and 11 Station Parade. Ealing Road and a point 3.6 metres north of that party wall;
(b) The west side, between a point 14.00 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Belvue Road and a point 4.00 metres north of the party wall of Nos. 213 and 215/217 Ealing Road.
