Bradford Road - New Development Access Between 686/688
What is happening?
KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. 26) ORDER 2023
NEW DEVELOPMENT ACCESS BETWEEN 686/688
BRADFORD ROAD, BRADLEY BAR
The Council of the Borough of Kirklees propose to make the
above Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of road in the
Bradley Bar area of the Kirklees district, will be to:
• Introduce a no right turn restriction from A new
development access between 686/688 Bradford Road,
Bradley Bar to A641, Bradford Road, Bradley Bar
REASON: Redrow Homes are undertaking a residential
development on the land at Bradley Villa Farm, Huddersfield.
Planning permission was granted for these proposals
(Planning Ref:- 2021/62/92086/W). Before the occupation of
the site, it is necessary to construct a new access off Bradford
Road and include the provision of a ‘No Right Turn’ out of the
development to remove any conflict for drivers turning right
into the site from the opposite side of the road. It is believed
these proposals will improve road safety for all road users
using these facilities and routes.
A copy of this draft Order, together with the plan showing the
affected lengths of road and a detailed statement of reasons for
proposing the Order may be inspected at:-
