Sedling Road, Washington - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE CITY OF SUNDERLAND (SEDLING ROAD, WASHINGTON) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
Sunderland City Council gives notice that on 13th February 2024 it made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all pedestrian traffic from Sedling Road Footpath from its junction with Sedling Road, Harraton Bus Link for a distance of 100 metres in an easterly direction. The Order is required to allow for works to the gas main. The order comes into force on 27th February 2024. The maximum duration of the closure under the Order will be six months. However, it is anticipated that the works will take approximately eleven days. All pedestrians will be prohibited from Sedling Road Footpath – from its junction with Sedling Road, Harraton Bus Link for a distance of 100 metres in an easterly direction (except for personnel involved in the works), until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. An alternative route will be provided and pedestrian access to properties will be maintained throughout.
