Market Bridge Lane Access Road - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(MARKET BRIDGE LANE ACCESS ROAD,
THORNTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along the entire length of
Market Bridge Lane Access Road, Thornton.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
collapsed bridge repair works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the
works will be completed by 18 August 2025. The
alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is
via Marketbridge Lane, Main Street, Common Lane,
Melbourne Road and Common Road. The road will be
closed to all traffic. The Order will commence
19 February 2024 and continue in force for a period
not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier. Further information can be obtained
