Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 SEVENOAKS AREA

A224 LONDON ROAD, SEVENOAKS, TN13 2LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A224 London Road, Sevenoaks, from 20.00hrs on 8th March 2024 to 10.00hrs on 10th March 2024 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Halfway House.

The alternative route is via A224 London Road/Amherst Hill, A25 Maidstone Road/Bradbourne Vale Road, A225 St Johns Hill/Dartford Road, Mount Harry Road, Hitchen Hatch Lane and vice versa.

ASHGROVE ROAD, SEVENOAKS, TN13 2PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashgrove Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 19th February 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cross Keys Cottages.

The alternative route is via Oak Lane, Grassy Lane, Hopgarden Lane, Ashgrove Road and vice versa.

BIRCHWOOD ROAD, SWANLEY, BR8 7PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of footway reconstruction, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Birchwood Road, Swanley.

Closures are planned between 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs for the weekends of 24th and 25th February 2024, 2nd and 3rd March 2024 and 9th and 10th March 2024.

The road will be closed between B2173 Maidstone Road and number 14.

The alternative route is via Birchwood Road, Leyton Cross Road, Oakfield Lane, A225 Hawley Road, B258 Church Hill/High Road/Barn End Lane/Top Dartford Road/Home Hill/Main Road/Swanley Lane, B2173 Bartholomew Way/Maidstone Road and vice versa.

HORTON ROAD & THE STREET, HORTON KIRBY, DA4 9BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the removal and replacement of slow road markings and warning signs, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Horton Road and The Street, Horton Kirby, on or after 19th February 2024 for up to 3 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

Horton Road will be closed between Jacobs Lane and The Street.

The Street will be closed between Horton Road and Lombard Street.

The alternative route is via The Street, Rays Hill, Lombard Street, Forge Lane, Jacobs Lane, Horton Road and vice versa.

LINGFIELD ROAD, SPRINGFIELD ROAD & STANGROVE ROAD, EDENBRIDGE, TN8 5HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SES Water mains laying, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lingfield Road, Springfield Road and Stangrove Road, Edenbridge.

Lingfield Road will be closed between numbers 128 and 27 from 19th February 2024 until 2nd July 2024.

Springfield Road will be closed between numbers 2 and 110 from 3rd June 2024 until 3rd December 2024.

Stangrove Road will be closed for the entire length from 12th August 2024 until 20th December 2024.

The alternative route for Lingfield Road is via Lingfield Road, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way/High Street/Mill Hill, B2028 Marsh Green Road/Moor Lane/Racecourse Road, Station Road, Crowhurst Road, Haxted Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for Springfield Road is via Skeynes Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for Stangrove Road is via Crouch House Road, Lingfield Road, B2026 Mont St Aignan Way and vice versa.

WELLERS TOWN ROAD, CHIDDINGSTONE HOATH, TN8 7BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new Water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wellers Town Road, Chiddingstone Hoath, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Sliders Barn.

The alternative route is via Ryewell Hill, Hoath Corner to Oakenden Lane, Truggers Lane to Grove Road, Coldharbour Road, Smarts Hill, New Road, B2188 Fordcombe Road/High Street, B2176 Penshurst Road/Station Hill/Moorden Lane, 2027 Tonbridge Road/Chequers Hill, Mill Lane, The Village and vice versa.
