Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD, GRAVESHAM & SEVENOAKS AREAS

VARIOUS ROADS, DARTFORD, GRAVESHAM AND SEVENOAKS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of carriageway patching, surface treatment and associated preparation, finishing and accommodation works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Dartford, Gravesham and Sevenoaks as per the schedule below.

This Order takes effect on or after 4 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start. This programme is subject to weather and other factors and may therefore change; every effort will be made to keep as close as possible to the programmed dates and duration. Changes will be notified locally and signposted on site.

A289 WAINSCOTT BYPASS (NORTHBOUND), HIGHAMRoad closed from M2 Junction 1 Interchange to Medway BorderA diversion will be in place via the A2 Watling Street, B2108 Rede Court Road, B2108 Brompton Farm Road, B2108 Hollywood Lane, B2108 Hoo Road and the A289 Halsted Road.Traffic on the London Bound M2 will be diverted from the junction 1 interchange to the next junction (London bound), and then onto Brewers Road to rejoin the M2 coastbound.Traffic wishing to access the A289 Northbound from the A226 Gravesend Road (Gads Hill Farm Interchange) will be diverted straight over the roundabouts to continue along the A226 Gravesend Road to join the main diversion via the B2108 Brompton Road.

VARIOUS ROADS, DARTFORD, GRAVESHAM AND SEVENOAKS (20MPH & 40MPH SPEED LIMITS) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of carriageway patching, surface treatment and associated preparation, finishing and accommodation works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order for traffic speeds to be restricted to 40mph on the approach to, and then 20mph through, working sites on Various Roads, Dartford, Gravesham and Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below. The 20mph speed restrictions will remain in force during works and for up to 7 days after the completion of preservation activities for the safety of road users.

This Order takes effect on or after 4 March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.
