Hoopers Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Installation Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Westonzoyland Temporary Closure of Lakewall and Hoopers Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Lakewall - from the junction with Hoopers Lane, south-westwards for a distance of 344 metres, and Hoopers Lane - from the junction with Lakewall to the junction with River Road. A total distance of 1,836 metres. This Order will enable Barr Engineering Services to install poles on behalf of Airband.

The Order becomes effective on 13th February 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 19th February 2024 and last until 21st February 2024 between the hours of 08:00 -18:00 for a total of 3 days.
