Brilley, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1072 From New House To Knowle Farm, Brilley Whitney-On-Wye, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1072 From New House To Knowle Farm, Brilley Whitney-On-Wye, outside New Inn. Grid Ref: 325605/248051. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Chapel Road, onto the C1073, onto the A438 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to pole replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 5th of March 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
