ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (C15 Middle Lane, Turners Green, Warbleton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Middle Lane – between the junctions with U7278 Goldings Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7278 Goldings Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:00hrs to 16:00hrs on 26 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7505 Limes Lane, Buxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Limes Lane – from the junction with U7864 Nan Tucks Lane to the junction with A272 High Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7504 Framfield Road – A272 High Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 February and 1 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6627 Powdermill Lane, Broad Oak) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Powdermill Lane – from the junction with U6628 Goatham Lane to the junction with U6902 Frymans Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6902 Frymans Lane – C21 Pottery Lane – A28 Cackle Street – B2089 Chitcombe Road – U6627 Powdermill Lane and vice versa. The Order commences 26 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. The East Sussex (U7543 Danegate, Eridge Green/Mark Cross) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Danegate – from the junction with C12 Sham Farm Road to the junction with A267 Mayfield Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible and an alternative route for through traffic via C12 Sham Farm Road – A26 Eridge Road – C70 Bunny Lane – A267 Frant Road, Mayfield Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 and 28 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2096 Battle Road/Earls Down, Chapel Cross/Punnetts Town/Heathfield/Warbleton/Dallington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Battle Road/Earls Down – from the junction with C16 Chapel Lane to the junction with C279 Rookery Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Brightling Road – C212 Observatory Road, Perrymans Lane, Kings Hill Road, School Hill – A265 High Street, Paygate, Heathfield Road, Pooks Hill, Burwash Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs between 26 February and 2 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5055 The Street, Firle) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

The Street – from opposite the Ram Inn, The Street to the junction with the P5671 The Dock.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commenced 23 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 14 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5152 Mountfield Road, Lewes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mountfield Road – from the junction with B2193 Station Road to Lewes Leisure Centre.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 12 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 16 February 2024 including overnight continuous working depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U7849 School Lane/Hoadleys Lane, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

School Lane/Hoadleys Lane – from the junction with C11 London Road to the junction with U7474 St Johns Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C11 London Road – U7475 Ghyll Road – U7474 St Johns Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 13 and 14 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7771 Southview Drive, Uckfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Southview Drive – from the junction with C41 London Road to the junction with U7771 Downsview Crescent.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C41 London Road – U7770 Browns Lane – U7771 Downsview Crescent and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 February and 8 March 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

The Street & Highlands Lane – from the junction with U7676 Whitesmith Lane to the junction with C114 Muddles Green.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C114 Muddles Green, Burgh Hill Road – A22 Golden Cross, Holmes Hill, Whitesmith – U7676 Whitesmith Lane and vice versa. The Order commences 14 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 14 and 16 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

Lawes Avenue – from the junction with C28 Murray Avenue to No.41.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5273 Lawes Avenue – C7 Lewes Road – C28 Evelyn Avenue, Murray Avenue and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 16 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Winterbourne Lane – from the junction with U5103 Valley Road to the junction with U5103 Delaware Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5103 Delaware Road, Barons Down Road, Montacute Road – A275 Brighton Road – C7 Winterbourne Hollow – U5103 Valley Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 13 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7474 St Johns Road, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

St Johns Road – from the junction with C11 London Road to the junction with U7474 Mardens Hill.

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Spatham Lane – from the junction with B2116 Lewes Road to the junction with C71 Middleton Common Lane.

The Order commenced 30 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 16 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5461 Rodmell Road, Seaford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Rodmell Road – from the junction with U5461 Cuckmere Road to the junction with U5461 Fairways Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5461 Cuckmere Road – U5466 Lindfield Avenue – U5461 Fairways Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 February and 15 March 2024 including overnight continuous working depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Nettlesworth Lane – from the junction with U7918 Furnace Lane to New Sapperton Farm.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C595 Vines Cross Road – B2203 Maynards Green Road, Hailsham Road, Tower Street – A265 Burwash Road – B2096 Battle Road, School Hill and vice versa.

The Order commenced 24 August 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 12 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

St Pancras Road – from the junction with B2193 Southover High Street to the junction with U5119 St Pancras Gardens.

Cleve Terrace – from the junction with U5119 St Pancras Road to No.3.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5119 St Pancras Road, Grange Road – U5162 Southover High Street – B2193 Southover High Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 16 February 2024 including overnight continuous working depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C323 Mill Lane, Chailey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mill Lane – from the junction with A275 South Road to the junction with U5987 Mill Brooks.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A275 South Street, Chailey Green Road, East Grinstead Road – B2183 Beggers Wood Road – C322 North Common Road – C6 South Road – C323 Honeypot Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 12 and 13 February 2024 including overnight continuous working depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C39 Coldharbour Road, Upper Dicker) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Trojan Groundworks Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Coldharbour Road – from the junction with C690 Camberlot Road to the junction with C39 High Barn Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C39 High Barn Road, Wick Street, Station Road – A27(T) Lewes Road, Eastbourne Road – A22 Hailsham Road, Polegate Road, Hailsham bypass, The Dicker – C39 Coldharbour Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 11 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11 and 18 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C206 High Street/U7617 Cherry Cottages, Fletching) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow ALS Civil Engineering to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

High Street – from the junction with C206 Church Street to the junction with U7617 Cherry Cottages.

Cherry Cottages – from the junction with C206 High Street to the junction with Fletching Car Park.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C206 High Street, North Hall Lane – A275 Sheffield Green, Lewes Road, London Road, Lewes Road – A22 Wych Cross, Millbrook Hill, High Street, Fords Green Road, Courtlands Road, Horney Common Road, Maresfield bypass – A272 Batts Bridge Road – C206 Ruston Bridge Road, Church Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 12 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 14 February 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C39 Alfriston Road, Seaford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Alfriston Road

Phase 1 – from the junction with U5446 Sutton Drove to the junction with U5415 Blue Haze Avenue.

Works will be undertaken from 09:00hrs to 16:00hrs on 12 and 13 February 2024.

Diversion via C39 Alfriston Road – U5540 Hillside Avenue – U5404 Walmer Road – U5411 Chyngton Gardens – A259 Eastbourne Road and vice versa.

Phase 2 – from the junction with U5430 Cradle Hill Road to the junction with U5503 Alfriston Park.

Works will be undertaken from 09:00hrs to 16:00hrs on 14 and 15 February 2024.

Diversion via C39 Alfriston Road, Whiteway, High Street, North Street, Alfriston Road – A27(T) Lewes Road – A2270 Eastbourne Road – C40 Wannock Road, Jevington Road – A259 Seaford Road, Eastbourne Road – C39 Alfriston Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic as set out above.

The Order commences 12 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 15 February 2024 as set out above depending upon the weather conditions.
