What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUNCH BOWL LANE, REDBOURN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Punch Bowl Lane, Redbourn from its junction with Redbourn Public Footpath No.050 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Punch Bowl Lane, Cherry Tree Lane, Hogg End Lane, A5183 Redbourn Road and Punch Bowl Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LYE LANE, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lye Lane, Bricket Wood from a point 425m south east of its junction with A405 North Orbital Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via Lye Lane, A405 North Orbital Road, Tippendell Lane, Park Street Lane and Lye Lane.
The Order is needed because electrical service works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HOUSE LANE, SANDRIDGE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of House Lane, Sandridge from its junction with the Sandringham Crescent roundabout north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Woodcock Hill, a distance of approximately 1173m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via House Lane, Sandpit Lane, Marshalswick Lane, B651 (St Albans Road/ High Street) and House Lane.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN PONDWICKS CLOSE, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pondwicks Close, St Albans from its junction with Grove Road north westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SLEAPSHYDE, SMALLFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sleapshyde, Smallford from a point 103 metres north west of its junction with A414 North Orbital Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A414 North Orbital Road, A1001 Comet Way, A1057 (St Albans Road West/Hatfield Road), Station Road, Smallford Lane, Sleapshyde Lane and Sleapshyde or via Sleapshyde, Sleapshyde Lane, Smallford Lane, A414 North Orbital Road and Sleapshyde Lane. The Order is needed because gas main repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
