Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

THANET AREA

A256 HAINE ROAD, RAMSGATE, CT12 5LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & 20MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A256 Haine Road, Ramsgate, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

A256 Haine Road will be closed between the junctions of Spratling Lane and Leigh Road, between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2050 Manston Road, B2014 Newington Road, A254 Margate Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road and vice versa.

A mandatory 20MPH speed limit will be imposed on A256 Haine Road, between the junctions of Spratling Lane and Leigh Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

EBBSFLEET LANE NORTH, RAMSGATE, CT12 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, on or after 21st February 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 23:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

EFFINGHAM STREET, RAMSGATE, CT11 9SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Effingham Street, Ramsgate, on or after 21st February 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 28A. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Effingham Street, Queen Street, West Cliff Road, Grange Road, A255 Park Road, High Street, George Street and vice versa.

ETHELBERT ROAD, MARGATE, CT9 1SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ethelbert Road, Margate, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 17. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ethelbert Road, Northdown Road, B2055 Zion Place, B2051 Cliff Terrace, B2051 Ethelbert Terrace and vice versa.

The one-way Order will be suspended to allow access. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

HIGH STREET, BROADSTAIRS, CT10 2TG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Broadstairs, on or after 7th March 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Ranelagh Grove and Harrow Dene, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vicarage Street, A255 Broadstairs Road, St Peters Road, High Street and vice versa.

KINGS AVENUE, BROADSTAIRS, CT10 3RE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kings Avenue, Broadstairs, on or after 21st February 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 54 to number 56. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kings Avenue, Bishops Avenue, Queens Avenue, Knights Avenue and vice versa.

MARSH FARM ROAD, RAMSGATE, CT12 4BZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marsh Farm Road, Ramsgate, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway crossing, between the hours of 22:45 and 05:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

PLUMSTONE ROAD, ACOL, CT7 0HW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Plumstone Road, Acol, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Seamark Road and Minster Road, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plumstone Road, Seamark Road, A299 Canterbury Road West, B2190 Minster Road, Minster Road and vice versa.

PRESTON ROAD, RAMSGATE CT12 5BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Preston Road, Ramsgate, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of B2050 Manston Road and Manston Court Road, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Preston Road, B2050 Manston Road, Manston Court Road and vice versa

QUEEN STREET, RAMSGATE, CT11 8BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queen Street, Ramsgate, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 12. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queen Street, The Broadway, Addington Street, B2054 Royal Parade, B2054 Harbour Parade, B2054 Madeira Walk, B2054 Wellington Crescent, B2054 Victoria Parade, B2054 Victoria Road, A255 Boundary Road, Hardres Street, Broad Street and King Street.

SCHOOL LANE, RAMSGATE, CT11 8PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 5th March 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Belmont Street and Broad Street. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Belmont Street, Hardres Street, Broad Street, Church Road, A255 Boundary Road, Hardres Street, Belmont Street and vice versa.

SEA ROAD, WESTGATE ON SEA, CT8 8QB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sea Road, Westgate On Sea, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 44 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Westleigh Road and Hengist Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sea Road, Domneva Road, Westgate Bay Avenue, St Mildreds Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Epple Road, Epple Bay Avenue and vice versa.

STATION ROAD, WESTGATE ON SEA, CT8 8TF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Westgate On Sea, on or after 21st February 2024 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite number 29. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Roxburgh Road, Westgate Bay Avenue, St Mildreds Road and vice versa.

VARIOUS ROADS, MARGATE, CT9 1AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Margate, on or after 4th March 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

Dane Road will be closed outside the Mulberry Tree Pub. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dane Road, Wilderness Hill, Northdown Road, B2055 Northdown Road, B2055 Trinity Square, King Street and vice versa.

Victoria Road will be closed at the junction with Dane Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dane Road, Park Lane, Thanet Road, Victoria Road and vice versa.

The One-way Order for Bath Road will be suspended to allow access. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

THANET, DOVER AND FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREAS

VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER, FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AND THANET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a program of carriageway patching and preservation works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Dover, Folkestone and Hythe and Thanet, as per the schedule below.

This Order takes effect on or after 4th March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start. Road closures and other restrictions will be in effect when the appropriate signage and barriers are in place.

Road Closed between A2 to Canterbury Hill.
A diversion will be in place via A2 Dover Rd Lydden Hill and Canterbury Road vice versa.

HOMESTEAD LANE, EAST STUDDAL
Road closed between Roman Road to Strakers Hill
A diversion will be in place via Roman Rd Strakers Hill vice versa.

NEW STREET, ASH
Road closed between The Street Ash to Coombe Lane
A diversion will be in place via Marshborough Road, Beacon Lane, Drainless Road, Fleming Rd Lower Rd Staple Durlock Road Guilton and The Street Ash vice versa.

SANDWICH ROAD, EASTRY
Road closed between Eastry Bypass to Little Walton.
A diversion will be in place via Eastry Bypass, Dover Road, Lower Street and High Street vice versa.

THE STREET, WOODNESBOROUGH
Road closed between Oak Hill to Poulders Gardens
A diversion will be in place via St Barts Road, Dover Road, Deal Road, Sandwich Road, Statenborough Lane, Foxborough Hill and Oak Hill vice versa.

SANDWICH ROAD, WHITFIELD
Road closed From 40mph Terminal Signs to Bauxfield
A diversion will be in place via Sandwich Road, A2 Roundabout Only, Honeywood Road, Honeywood Park Way, A2/A256 Interchange, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Sandwich Road (and vice versa)

A diversion will be in place via Butler Lane, Ashford Road, Rhee Wall Road and Cuckolds Lane vice versa.

CHURCH ROAD, FOLKESTONE
Road closed between B2063 Risborough Lane to Horn Street.
A diversion will be in place via Church Road, B2063 Risborough Lane, B2063 Military Road, A259 Sandgate High Street, A259 Sandgate Esplanade, A259 Seabrook Road and Horn Street vice versa.

ST MARY’S ROAD, ST MARY’S IN THE MARSH
Road closed between From Cockreed Lane to the junction with Turngate Cottage to Hope Lane, St Mary in the Marsh.
A diversion will be in place via St Mary’s Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, Mill Road, Eastbridge Road, From Newchurch Boundary to Eastbridge Road, From Newchurch to Newchurch Town Boundary and from St Marys Road to Newchurch Lane – vice versa.

VARIOUS ROADS, DOVER, FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AND THANET (20MPH & 40MPH SPEED LIMITS) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To support a program of carriageway preservation works traffic speeds will be restricted to 40mph on the approach to, and then 20mph through, working sites on Various Roads Dover, Folkestone and Hythe and Thanet as per the schedule below. The 20mph speed restrictions will remain in force during works and for up to 7 days after the completion of preservation activities for the safety of road users.

This Order takes effect on or after 4th March 2024 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.
