Mordon, Temporary Bridleway Closure due to Repair Works

What is happening?

The County Council of Durham

(Bridleway Number 13 Mordon Parish)

(Temporary Bridleway Closure) Order 2023

The Council on 14/8/23 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all equestrian traffic only from proceeding on a 2104 metre length of Bridleway Number 13 Mordon Parish between its junctions with Bridleway 12 (Wildgoose Lane) and Lodge Lane, Mordon to enable unsafe structure repair works to be undertaken.

An alternative route will be available to the west of the restricted bridleway.

The maximum duration of the extended Order is 6 months, has the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport and will be valid from 14/2/24 for a maximum period of 6 months or until the bridleway is safe to fully re-open, whichever is the sooner. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
