Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF RIGHT HAND TURN ON STATION APPROACH, DERBY
WHEN: 12 February 2024 to 7 April 2024 WHERE: Station Approach, suspend the right turn into Siddals Road REASON: Highway construction work ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Railway Terrace – Midland Road – London Road – Canal Street – Siddals Road.

WHEN: 24 February 2024 to 25 February 2024 WHERE: Chapel Street, from junction of King Street to Chapel Street Car Park exit – a distance of approximately 32 metres. REASON: Construction works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: King Street – Quaker Way – Lodge Lane – Bridge Street – Agard Street – Ford Street – St Alkmunds Way – Cathedral Road – Chapel Street. WHEN: 1 March 2024 to 12 May 2024 WHERE: Nottingham Road, from opposite junction of Reginald Road South to opposite junction of Chaddesden Park Road REASON: Construction works.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON SWANMORE ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 26 February 2024 to 5 March 2024 (09.30 to 15.30 Daily) WHERE: Swanmore Road, at its junction with Owlswick Close REASON: Telecom works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Swanmore Road – Pastures Hill – Swanmore Road (other junction) and the same in the opposite direction.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BOULTON LANE (SLIP ROAD), DERBY
WHEN: 27 February 2024 WHERE: Boulton Lane (Slip Road), from its junction with Boulton Lane to its junction with Boulton Lane side road (Off Bracknell Drive) – a distance of approximately 25 metres. REASON: Telecom works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Boulton Lane – Bracknell Drive and the same in the opposite direction.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BREEDON AVENUE, DERBY
WHEN: 2 March 2024 to 3 March 2024 WHERE: Breedon Avenue, from its junction with Stenson Road for approximately 10 metres in length. REASON: Water works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stenson Road – Instow Drive – Breedon Avenue and the same in the opposite direction

Derby City Council (Hampshire Road) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.131) Order 2023.
Derby City Council has made this Traffic Regulation Order on 8th February 2024, which comes into effect on 12th February 2024 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf.
The purpose of the Order will be to introduce:
No Waiting (At Any Time)
• Hampshire Road on both sides at the vehicle entrance to Beaufort Community Primary School, on the north side across the subway for approximately 15m, on the south side from lighting column LC11060 for approximately 15m eastwards and opposite the entrance to St Giles Spencer Academy.
Copies of the Order and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the Acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six weeks of the date of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
