Rydal, Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles Due To Highway Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL
(U5532, RYDAL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U5532, Rydal from a point approx. 50 m south west of its junction with the A591, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 20 m.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. There is no suitable alternative route for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 26th February 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
