What is happening?
West Sussex County Council
(Southbourne: Cooks Lane) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Cooks Lane between Inlands Road and Furnston Grove.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst sewage mains works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 12 February 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 12 February 2024 and will take 2 weeks to complete.

(Milland: Iping Lane & Iping Road) (Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Iping Lane and Iping Road between Hazelbank Farm and Tentworth Lane.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst telecommunication works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 12 February 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. Works are expected to commence on or after 12 February 2024 between 0930 and 1530 hours daily and take 14 days to complete.

(Chichester: Corporate Challenge Event) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the following lengths of roads:-
North Street – between St Peters and East Street East Street – between North Street and East Walls East Walls – between East Street and Priory Road Priory Road – between East Walls ad St Peters
St Peters – between Priory Road and North Street
St Martins Square – the entire length St Martins Street – the entire length
The Order is necessary to facilitate the holding of the Chichester Corporate Challenge Events 2024.
The above-mentioned roads form the route to be taken by the competitors. The Order will be operative on 28 February 2024, 13 March 2024 and 27 March 2024 and roads will be closed from 1800 hours until 2100 hours.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained. Marshalls will allow vehicular access when safe to do so.

(Chichester: Palmers Field Avenue) (Temporary Prohibiton of Waiting) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, West Sussex County Council intend to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit waiting at any time in the parking bays on the eastern side of Palmers Field Avenue between Kidd Road and Kingsmead Avenue.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst construction works are undertaken in the vicinity.
The Order will come into effect on 26 February 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 19 July 2024.
