ROYSTON ROAD, CUDWORTH
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Royston Road from the junction of Sidcop Road to house number 1a, from 12 February 2024 for approximately one week.
Reason: New electric connection.
An alternative route is available via: Pontefract Road/Crosby Street.

FORGE LANE, WORTLEY
TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION
An order has been made to introduce a 40 mph speed restriction on Forge Lane, from outside Oberwald to the existing 30 mph signage at the junction of Cote Lane, from 12 February 2024 for approximately three weeks.
Reason: Safely enable work to electric service.

An order has been made to close Bull Haw Lane from Mayberry Drive to Silkstone Lane, from 15th February 2024 for approximately 3 weeks.

An order has been made to close Barugh Lane from Claycliffe Road to No.225, from 10th February 2024 for approximately 10 days.
Reason: Road safety audit remedial works.
An alternative route is available via: Claycliffe Road, Barugh Green Road, Barugh Lane.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
An order has been made to close the below roads, from 13th February 2024 for approximately 3 days.
· Hope Avenue, Goldthorpe – Temporary road closure from outside No. 97 to Goldthorpe Road. An alternative route is available via Goldthorpe Road, Homecroft Road.
· Orchard Street, Goldthorpe – Temporary road closure from side of No.23 to Goldthorpe Road. An alternative route is available via Goldthorpe Road, High Street, Orchard Street.
Reason: Enable gas main replacement works.

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTIONS
An order has been made to introduce temporary speed restrictions on the below roads, from 10th February 2024 for approximately 5 months.
· Higham Lane, Higham – Temporary 40mph speed restriction from Lane Side Farm to Higham Common Road.
· Higham Common Road – Temporary 30mph speed restriction from Higham Lane to existing 30mph speed sign.
Reason: Safely enable construction works for the new road layout.

An order will be made to close Kingsway from Broadway to Longsight Road, from 23 February 2024 for approximately one day.

An order will be made to close Station Road, from Windsor Street to Holly Bush Drive, from 19 February 2024 for approximately one week. The road will be closed weeknights only from 7.00 pm to 5.00 am.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing works.
An alternative route is available via: Lidget Lane/The Windings/Barrowfield Road/Fields End Road/Barnsley Road/Nicholas Lane/Thurnscoe Bridge Lane/Shepherd Lane.

An order will be made to close Welfare View, from Hope Avenue to outside house number 28, from 19 February 2024 for approximately two weeks.

An order will be made to introduce a temporary one-way restriction on Tennyson Road between Shelley Drive and Burton Road, allowing traffic to travel from Burton Road to Shelley Drive only, from 22nd February 2024 for approximately 2 days.
Reason: Low voltage cable overlay.
An alternative route is available via: Tennyson Road, Warwick Road, Rotherham Road, Burton Road.

CROSS LANE, BACK LANE, PARK LANE, SNOWDEN HILL/OXSPRING
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
An order will be made to close the below roads, from 19th February 2024 for approximately 7 days.
· Cross Lane, Snowden Hill – Temporary road closure from Long Lane to Grudgby Lane, between 09:30 and 14:30.
· Back Lane, Snowden Hill – Temporary road closure from Salter Hill Lane to Cross Lane, between 09:30 – 14:30.
· Park Lane, Oxspring – Temporary road closure from Cross Lane to Long Lane, between 09:30 – 14:30.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing.
An alternative route is available via: Long Lane, Oxspring Road, Mortimer Road, Cranberry Road, Salter Hill Lane, Dyson Cote Lane, Grudgby Lane.

OLD MILL LANE, BARNSLEY
TEMPORARY NO RIGHT TURN RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce a temporary no right turn restriction from Old Mill Lane on to Old Tannery Road, allowing traffic to travel in a northbound direction only onto Wakefield Road, the restriction will be in place on an intermittent basis, as and when required for a 5-month period starting on 19th February 2024.
Reason: Highway improvement works.
An alternative route is available via: Old Mill Lane, Wakefield Road, Rotherham Road Roundabout, Wakefield Road, Old Tannery Way.

(AS AMENDED)

DUNFORD BRIDLEWAY NO. 4 & FOOTPATH NO. 5
TEMPORARY CLOSURE
The Secretary of State has authorised a further extension of the above named Order to close Dunford bridleway no.4 and footpath no. 5 from Hollin Lane to Dunford footpath no. 3 for up to a further 12 months until the 3rd February 2025.
Reason: Obstruction of the legal alignment.
