SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Windsor Street, Salisbury; from its junction with A36 to its junction with Windsor Road. B) Windsor Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Fisherton Street for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 04 March 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 until 08 March 2024. Alternative route via Newton Tony - Newton Tony Road - A338 - Amesbury Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 February 2024 and the closure will be required for 1 day. Alternative route via C293 (unaffected length) -Amesbury Road - A338 - Wyndham Lane - C293 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 February 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. Alternative route via C293 (unaffected length) - Amesbury Road - A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 February 2024 and the closure will be required for 3 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.35) 2024 (Ref TTRO 9229)
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway retexturing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 12 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 3 weeks but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 12 February 2024 and 08 March 2024. Schedule 1. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - A345 COUNTESS ROAD, AMESBURY
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the installation of a "TOUCAN" Crossing (an un-segregated crossing for pedestrians and cyclists) in A345 Countess Road, Amesbury at a point approximately 62 metres north of the junction with Countess Road spur leading to Nos. 45 to 59 Countess Road. A copy of the plan showing the location of the crossing may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Amesbury Library, Smithfield Street, Amesbury between the hours of 2pm-7pm Monday, 9.30am-5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am-7pm Thursday and 9.30am-1pm Saturday until 4 March 2024.
