WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (ROE ROAD, NORTHAMPTON)  (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Roe Road, Northampton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Roe Road, Northampton from Abington Avenue to Wantage Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 4th March 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to five days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Abington Avenue, Purser Road and Wantage Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (BEDFORD ROAD, LITTLE HOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Bedford Road, Little Houghton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Bedford Road, Little Houghton from Home Acre for 60 metres in a southbound direction.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during major S.278 works for the construction of a new footpath, kerbing and carriageway resurfacing.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 26th February 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted until 22nd March 2024.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use A428 Bedford Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (WILLOW LANE, GREAT HOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Willow Lane, Great Houghton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Willow Lane, Great Houghton from the junction of Willow Lane to The Hill.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repairs to Openreach equipment.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 13th February 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for one day.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use The Cross and High Street.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (LONG LANE, RAVENSTHORPE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Long Lane, Ravensthorpe as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Long Lane, Ravensthorpe from the A428 junction to East Haddon Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during a new water connection.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 14th February 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for four days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use East Haddon Road, Tilbury Road and the A428.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (LITTLE LONDON, SILVERSTONE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Little London, Silverstone as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Little London, Silverstone from the junction of Towcester Road to Whittlebury Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during cabling works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 20th February 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for three days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Towcester Road and Whittlebury Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (TEETON LANE, CREATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Teeton Lane, Creaton as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Teeton Lane, Creaton from the junction of the A5199 to Teeton.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during laying of mains.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 15th February 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to five days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use A5199 and Teeton Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (MANOR ROAD, PITSFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Manor Road, Pitsford as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Manor Road, Pitsford from Broadlands to Moulton Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during telecom ducting works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th February 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to five days.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (BARRACK ROAD & ST. GEORGES AVENUE, NORTHAMPTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding or turning right along those lengths of Barrack Road and St. Georges Avenue Northampton as specified in the Schedule below.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during traffic signal works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th February 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the roads will be restricted until 8th March 2024.

St. Georges Avenue, Northampton – from Barrack Road to Brick Kiln Lane. Alternative route – use Kingsley Road, Kingsthorpe Grove and Harborough Road.

(Prohibition of Right Turn)

Barrack Road, Northampton – into St. Georges Avenue.

Alternative route – use St. Andrews Road, Grafton Street, Campbell Square, Upper Mounts, St. Michaels Road, Kettering Road and Kingsley Road.
