ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Footpaths AX16/2, AX16/3 & AX16/27, Congresbury, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2024
Date coming into force: 11 March 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-316
Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bridge Civil Engineering for the Environment Agency for repairs to river bank, revetments and footbridge. This will become operative on the 11 March 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of approximately 4 weeks in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - Near Congresbury Weir Footpaths and Footbridge closure (Footpath AX16/2) parts AX16/2/10 and AX16/2/20. (Footpath AX16/3) parts AX16/3/10 and AX16/3/20 and (Footpath AX16/27) part AX16/27/10 for its full extent.

Bath Road (A368), Blagdon, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 17 March 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-338
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace pole. This will become operative on the 17 March 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Castle Hill, Banwell, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 3 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-004
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to clear fibre blockages. This will become operative on the 3 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 nights in duration between 8pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:
George Street, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 26 February 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-170
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas main. This will become operative on the 26 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of approximately 61 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 24 February 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-295
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace lead pipe. This will become operative on the 24 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water for a new connection. This will become operative on the 24 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 15 February 2024 - Ref: T24-10
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to investigate the size of water mains. This will become operative on the 15 February 2024 for a maximum period of one month. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 14 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force

Riverside, Banwell, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming Into Force: 12 February 2024 - Ref: T24-04
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of work being executed on and near the road by North Somerset Council to construct Banwell Bypass including associated investigations, surveys, diversions, and other enabling works. North Somerset Council are satisfied that the execution of the works in question will take 30 months. This will become operative on the 12 February 2024 for a maximum period of 30 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - Riverside from a point 200m north of the junction with Moor Road to a point 750m north of the junction with Moor Road.
Alternative routes - Riverside, Puxton Road, Puxton Lane, Drove Way, Nye Road, A368 Station Road, A368 Towerhead Road, A368 East Street, A368 The Square, A368 West Street, Church Street, Riverside and Vice-versa.
