(SIX NATIONS TESTS @ SCOTTISH GAS MURRAYFIELD)

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/34

The Council has made an order under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate the safe ingress and egress of spectators from Scottish Gas Murrayfield, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the roads specified in Sch 1, where prohibitions will apply to roads in their entirety unless otherwise stated; (b) walk or cause or permit any person to walk on the footways described in Sch 2; (c) drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the sections of roads specified in column 1 of Sch 3, otherwise than in the direction specified in column 2 of Sch 3; (d) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle on the roads described in Sch 4, where prohibitions will apply to both sides of the roads in their entirety unless otherwise stated; & (e) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the road described in column 1 of Sch 5 so as to make the prohibited turn specified in column 2 of Sch 5, into the road specified in column 3 of Sch 5. The alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via Ellersly Rd, Murrayfield Rd, Ravelston Dykes, Belford Rd, Douglas Gdns, Palmerston Pl; Ellersly Rd, Murrayfield Rd, Ravelston Dykes, Queensferry Ter, Queensferry Rd, Queensferry St; & Westfield Rd, Gorgie Rd, Dalry Rd, Henderson Ter and Dundee St. Pedestrian access will be maintained on all roads, except in Sch 2. The Greenways Order 1997 will be suspended during the hours specified in the Schedules on any of the affected sections of roads described. Existing restrictions may be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in Sch 4. The order shall have effect during the hours and on the dates specified in the Schedules. SCHEDULE 1 PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES: (A) from 12:15hrs to 18:15hrs on 10/2/24; & from 14:45hrs to 20:45hrs on 24/2/24 on: (i) Riversdale Cres (except authorised vehicles); (ii) Riversdale Rd (except authorised vehicles); (iii) Riversdale Grv (except authorised vehicles); (iv) Saughtonhall Circus (except authorised vehicles); (v) Saughtonhall Ter (except authorised vehicles); (vi) Saughtonhall Grv (except authorised vehicles); (vii) Saughtonhall Pl (except authorised vehicles); (viii) Saughtonhall Gdns (except authorised vehicles); (ix) Saughtonhall Ave (except authorised vehicles); (x) Baird Grv (except authorised vehicles); (xi) Baird Ter (except authorised vehicles); (xii) Baird Gdns (except authorised vehicles); (xiii) Baird Ave (except authorised vehicles); & (xiv) Baird Drv (except authorised vehicles); (B) from 12:15hrs to 14:15hrs and then from 15:15hrs to 18:15hrs on 10/2/24; & from 14:45hrs to 16:45hrs and then from 17:45hrs to 20:45hrs on 24/2/24 on: (i) Roseburn St; (ii) Riversdale Bridge; & (iii) Russell Rd, from its jnct with Roseburn St, south-eastwards for 60m; (C) from 12:45hrs to 13:45hrs and then from 15:15hrs to 18:15hrs on 10/2/24; & from 15:15hrs to 16:15hrs and then from 17:45hrs to 20:45hrs on 24/2/24 on: (i) Roseburn Ter; (ii) West Coates; (iii) Haymarket Ter (except Trams); (iv) Clifton Ter (except Trams); (v) Haymarket Yards (except Trams); (vi) Western Ter/Corstorphine Rd, from Ellersly Rd to Roseburn Ter (except service buses); (vii) Rosebery Cres, from Haymarket Ter to Grosvenor Gdns; (viii) Balbirnie Pl; & (ix) Grosvenor St, at its jnct with West Maitland St/Haymarket; & (D) from 15:15hrs to 18:15hrs on 10/2/24; & from 17:45hrs to 20:45hrs on 24/2/24 on: (i) West Approach Rd, from the point it joins Westfield Rd to the slip road at Dundee St/Angle Park Ter (except event specific service buses); & (ii) Westfield Rd, from 95m north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Westfield Ave, north-eastwards to the point it joins West Approach Rd (except event specific service buses). SCHEDULE 2 PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS: from 15:15hrs to 18:15hrs on 10/2/24; & from 17:45hrs to 20:45hrs on 24/2/24 on: Balbirnie Pl: (i) from the south-west gable end of No. 50, south-eastwards for 20m; & (ii) the north-eastern footway, from the south-west gable end of No. 50, north-westwards for 30m. SCHEDULE 3 ONE-WAY ROAD: from 12:45hrs to 13:45hrs and then from 15:15hrs to 18:15hrs on 10/2/24; & from 15:15hrs to 16:15hrs and then from 17:45hrs to 20:45hrs on 24/2/24 on:
