Notice of Confirmation of an Order Highways Act 1980
Public Path Diversion Order Footpath 15 Little Baddow In the City of Chelmsford

On 31 January 2024 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a part length of Footpath 15 Little Baddow, commencing from a point approximately 55 metres westward of its junction with Hammonds Road at the Little Baddow/ Sandon parish boundary CM3 4BJ grid ref: 57490,20679, proceeding northward across the field and through the western corner of Hammonds Farm to the northern field edge, then heading in a west north-westward direction south of the fence boundary to the eastern side of the hedge gap, to an alternative route commencing from the aforementioned point west of Hammonds Road proceeding in a west north-westward direction at the field edge on the northern side of the ditch to the wide hedge gap, then in a north north-eastward direction at the field edge on the eastern side of the hedge to the north western field corner, where it continues north westward through the hedge gap as the unaffected part of Footpath 15 Little Baddow as shown on the order map.

A copy of the order as confirmed and order map can be requested to be posted by emailing publicpathorders@essexhighways.org or are available to be viewed at Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, CM1 1QH during normal working hours. Copies are also available on Essex Highways website at: https://www.essexhighways.org/transport-and-roads/getting-around/public-rightsof-way/public-path-notices.aspx and have also been sent to Chelmsford City and Little Baddow Parish Councils.

The alternative route comes into force on 28/02/2024 and the old route will be stopped up with effect from 06/03/2024, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 08/02/2024 make an application to the High Court.

(Bury Lane, Great Waltham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bury Lane, Great Waltham in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Penden Hill for a distance of approximately 250m in a southerly direction. 
The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2321632 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Penden Hill, The Village, Barrack Lane, Bury Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hyde Lane, Danbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hyde Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 45m north east of its junction with Dilston for a distance of approximately 35m in a north easterly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001303832 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lay new service works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Chelmsford Road, Oak Corner, Southend Road, Maldon Road – B1418 and vice versa (with access only into Hyde Lane).
The Order will come into effect on 15th February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Pertwee Drive, South Woodham Ferrers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pertwee Drive, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Southern Drive to its junction with Hillcrest Road a distance of approximately 70m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th March 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2352606 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Southern Drive, Hillcrest Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Woodhill Road, Sandon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodhill Road, Sandon in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 90m north west of its junction with Mayes Lane for a distance of approximately 45m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th March 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30025222063 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via The Common, Penny Royal Road, Mayes Lane, Main Road, Maldon Road, Molrams Lane and vice versa (with access only into Woodhill Road and Bicknacre Road).

The Order will come into effect on 15th February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Parsonage Lane, Howe Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parsonage Lane, Howe Street in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Main Road to its junction with Chatham Hall Lane a distance of approximately 415m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th February 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA140GREHSWP24 – Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
An alternative route is available via Main Road, The Village, Chelmsford Road, Main Road, Braintree Road, Chatham Hall Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 1st February 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
