ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
(Marshall Street, Holbeck, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Emergency road closure – due to failure of cathartic protection) Leeds City Council made an Order on 1 February 2024 the effect of which is that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Marshall Street, Holbeck, Leeds in the Beeston & Holbeck Ward at its junction with Sweet Street and Sweet Street West. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Marshall Street, Water Lane, Great Wilson Street, Meadow Lane, Dewsbury Road, Jack Lane, Marshall Street. Marshall Street, Jack Lane, Dewsbury Road, Meadow Road, Victoria Road, Water Lane, Marshall Street. Sweet Street, Meadow Road, Victoria Road, Water Lane, Marshall Street. Marshall Street, Water Lane, Great Wilson Street, Meadow Lane, Dewsbury Road, Meadow Road, Sweet Street. Sweet Street West, Bath Road, Water Lane, Marshall Street. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order came into operation on Friday 2 February 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Monday 12th February 2024. The closure will be in place between 08:00 and 16:30 hrs on each day. A Coultate. Ref: RC304068.
(Oxford Place/Westgate, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Installation of District Heating Pipeline and Comms Ducting for Leeds PIPES, Leeds City Council made an Order, the effect of which is: 1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel through the Bus Lane on Westgate, Leeds in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward between its junctions with Oxford Row and Oxford Place. 2. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel through Oxford Place, Leeds in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward between its junctions with Westgate and Great George Street. 3. Suspension of Bus Gate eastbound on The Headrow between the junction with Oxford Place and Albion Street. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: The Headrow, Albion Street, Woodhouse Lane, Portland Way, Calverley Street, Portland Street, Great George Street. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to operate from: a. Monday 5th February 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Sunday 24th March 2024. (St Chads Drive, Headingley, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure required for Northern Gas Network works, Leeds City Council made an Order on 1 February 2024, the effect of which is:- No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along: 1. St Chads Drive, Headingley, Leeds in the Weetwood Ward at its junction with Otley Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Batcliffe Drive, Batcliffe Mount, St Annes Road, Otley Road and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to operate from: a. Monday 5th of February 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 16th February 2024. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure for cable overlay, Leeds City Council made an Order on 1 February 2024, the effect of which is:- No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along: 1. Back Mexborough Street, Chapeltown, Leeds in the Chapel Allerton Ward between its junctions with Mexborough Place and Savile Avenue. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Mexborough Place, Mexborough Drive, Savile Avenue. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to operate from: a. Monday 5th February 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 1st March 2024. (Chadwick Street & Armouries Way, Hunslet, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (construction works and associated logistics at Leeds Dock) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to; Travel along Chadwick Street & Hunslet, Leeds in the Hunslet & Riverside Ward between its junctions with Black Bull Street and Chadwick Street South and; Park along Armouries Way, Hunslet, Leeds. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via; Black Bull Street, Hunslet Road, South Accommodation Road, Clarence Road, Armouries Drive. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 12th February 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Amberton Terrace, Gipton, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Hoarding for new Housing Estate Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Amberton Terrace, Leeds in the Gipton & Harehills Ward between its junctions with Montagu Avenue and the entrance to the medical centre. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Montagu Avenue, Easterly Road and Oakwood Lane Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Sunday 3rd March 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Greenmoor Avenue, Lofthouse, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure for gas mains replacement Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Greenmoor Avenue, Lofthouse, Leeds in the Ardsley & Robin Hood Ward between its junctions with Greenmoor Close and Green Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Greenmoor Close, Greenmoor Avenue, Green Lane and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 26th February 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. Leeds City Council (Traffic Regulation) (Waiting Restriction) (No. W01) Order 2023
24 Hour Red Route Clearway & Parking Places East Leeds Orbital Route
Leeds City Council have made the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders which came into force on 2nd February 2024 is to introduce:
- A 24 Hour Red Route Clearway on: a. Century Way, Austhorpe (both sides); its whole length b. ELOR (both sides); from A6120 Ring Road Shadwell to Manston Lane (excluding laybys – approx. 6,730m). c. Leeds Road (both sides); from 85m SW of ELOR, in a NE direction, for 258m; d. M1 Junction 46 Northbound Link Road; (both sides); its whole length; e. M1 Junction 46 Southbound Link Road; (both sides); its whole length; f. Manston Lane (both sides); from a point 45m east William Parking Way, westerly direction for 132m (inclusive of the roundabout); g. Skeltons Lane (north side); from 109m east of ELOR, in a westerly direction for 215m; h. Thorpe Park Link Road, Austhorpe; (both sides); its whole length; i. Wetherby Road (both sides); from 33m north of ELOR, in a southerly direction for 190m; j. William Parkin Way, Austhorpe; (both sides); its whole length; k. York Road (A64) (both sides); from ELOR, in a SW direction for a 66m; L. York Road A64) (both sides); from 66m SW of ELOR, in a NE direction for 470m.
- Parking Places for Police Vehicles Only on sections of ELOR (both sides).
- The revocation of existing items as identified in the schedules to this Order. A copy of the Orders together with plans showing the affected sections of highway may be obtained by e-mailing legal.development@leeds.gov.uk. if you wish to object to question the validity of an Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
