Railway Lane, Willenhall - Road Closure

NOTICE is hereby given that the Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council has MADE the following Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and 92 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH

(RAILWAY LANE, WILLENHALL)

(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

The Order will come into operation on 12 February 2024 and includes the following effects:-

Prohibition of motor vehicles using Railway Lane at its junction with East Acre for a distance of 132 metres in a northerly direction. Standard exemptions permitted for works/maintenance, statutory duties and emergency services. Exemption permitting pedal cyclists to proceed along the restricted length of road.

A copy of the Order, together with plans showing the roads subject to the Order, may, by appointment, be examined at the offices of Walsall Council, The Civic Centre, Darwall Street, Walsall during normal office hours for a period of 6 weeks from Thursday 8th February 2024.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been compiled with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from 8th February 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
