What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991 

WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH A454 LITTLE ASTON ROAD, ALDRIDGE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024 

Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make an ORDER, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in that length of: * A454 LITTLE ASTON ROAD that is situated from its junction with B4152 Northgate to its junction with Erdington Road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Notice will be via B4152 Northgate, B4152 Salters Road, A461 Lichfield Road, A452 Chester Road and A454 Little Aston Road and vice versa. This ORDER will come into operation on Sunday 18 February 2024 and will remain in force for a period of eighteen months or until the work is completed, whichever is the earlier. The prohibition of traffic is appropriate to ensure that a contractor working on behalf of Churchill Retirement Living can undertake work to lay a new sewer connection in the carriageway in a manner that enhances the safety of both workforce and travelling public. Work is expected to take place from 1800 (6.00 am) on Sunday 18 February 2024 to 0600 (6.00 am) on Monday 19 February 2024.
