BRIGHTON & HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - PORTLAND STREET, BRIGHTON

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 7 February 2024 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

(a) The temporary closure of Portland Street from its junction with Church Street southwards for approximately 50 metres.

(b) To maintain access to premises during the closure the existing One-Way Traffic Order in Portland Street will be suspended.

2. The Order is necessary to allow UK Power Networks carry out the installation of a new electricity supply to a development.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

3. This Order comes into force on 12 February 2024 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 25 February 2024.
