What is happening?

SOMERSET COUNCIL
PARISH OF CASTLE CARY
Temporary Closure of
Bridleways WN2/36; WN2/38; WN2/40
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the
Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the
Council of Somerset has made an Order prohibiting all
traffic from proceeding along Bridleway WN 2/36;
WN 2/38; WN2/40 from its junction with Castle Cary
station car-park, in an easterly direction for approximately
1510m, joining Footpath WN 2/39 and continuing in a
southerly direction for approximately 755m, until its
junction with Wyke Road . This is due to continued works
to the new car park area at Castle Cary Station. The
Order became effective on 2nd February 2024 and will
remain in force for six months. There is no alternative
route available. For information about the works being
