HYSBYSIAD O WAITH ARFAETHEDIG I DDIOGELU'R ARFORDIR

Mae Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy, yn gweithredu yn ei gapasiti fel awdurdod diogelu'r arfordir, drwy hyn yn rhoi rhybudd o dan adrannau 5(1) y Ddeddf uchod, ei fod yn bwriadu cyflawni gwaith diogelu'r arfordir yn Nhraeth y Gogledd a Phenmorfa, Llandudno, Conwy.

Bydd y gwaith ym Mhenmorfa yn cynnwys adeiladu ramp mynediad newydd o faes parcio Dale Road a byndiau pridd tuag at orsaf bwmpio Dwr Cymru.

Bydd y gwaith yn Nhraeth y Gogledd yn cynnwys adeiladu mynediad ramp i'r pwll nofio, codi'rwal gefn o amgylch y pwll a gosod nifer o giatiau llifogydd ar hyd y wal. Bydd hyd ochr RNLI y wal yn cael ei godi a bydd giat llifogydd newydd yn cael ei osod. Ar hyd Ffordd Colwyn bydd rhan newydd o wal y mfir yn cael ei adeiladu.

Ar yr un pryd a'r gwaith hyn, bydd nifer o ardaloedd He gosodwyd 'stoplogs' yn flaenorol, yn cael eu hail-sefydlu mewn bylchau o fewn y wal for bresennol.

Amcangyfrifir y bydd cost y gwaith tua £4.5m.

Gall unrhyw un wrthwynebu'r gwaith arfaethedig trwy gyflwyno hysbysiad o wrthwynebiad i'r cynnig i'r Gweinidog, y Cyngor a Chyfoeth Naturiol Cymru, dim hwyrach na Dydd Llun y o Fawrth.

FORM OF NOTICE OF PROPOSED COAST PROTECTION WORK

COAST PROTECTION ACT 1949

NOTICE OF PROPOSED COAST PROTECTION WORK

Conwy County Borough Council, acting in its capacity as coast protection authority, hereby gives notice under sections 5(1) of the above Act that it proposes to carry out coast protection work at Llandudno North and West Shore, Conwy.

The work on West Shore will consist of construction of a new access ramp from ?ale Road car park and an earth bund towards the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water pumping station.

The works on North Shore consist of construction of a ramped access to the paddling pool, rising the back wall around the pool and the installation of several flood gates along the wall. The wall behind the RNLI building will be raised and a new flood gate will be installed. Along Colwyn Road a new section of sea wall will be constructed.

At the same time as these works several areas where stoplogs were previously Installed will be reinstated in gaps within the existing sea wall.

The estimated cost of the work is in the region of £4.5m.

Any person may object to the proposed work by serving notice of objection on the Minister, the Council and Natural Resources Wales, no later than Monday 4th of March.

Any objection to the proposal must state the grounds of the objection and may be delivered by hand, sent by pre-paid post or sent by e-mail, so as to be received no later than the date specified above to: Water and Flood Division, Welsh Government, Crown Buildings, Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF10 3NQ (e-mail address FloodCoastalRisk@gov.wales) and to the Chief Executive, Conwy County Borough Council, PO Box 1, Conwy, LL30 9GN.
