What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (EATON BRAY ROAD, TOTTERNHOE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Eaton Bray Road, Totternhoe outside the Mechanical Services Garage.
This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 27 February to 1 March 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Castle Hill Road, Church Road, Dunstable Road, Bower Lane, High Street, Totternhoe Road, Eaton Bray Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 27 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (THRALES END LANE, HARPENDEN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Thrales End Lane, Harpenden, approximately 20 metres either side of the Railway Bridge.
This temporary closure is required to enable structural repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 24 February 2024 between the hours of 8pm and 6am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B653, West Hyde Road, A1081 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 22 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (ENNERDALE AVENUE, PENRITH AVENUE, GRASMERE CLOSE AND KESWICK CLOSE, DUNSTABLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full lengths of Ennerdale Avenue, Penrith Avenue, Grasmere Close and Keswick Close, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 26 February to 15 March 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The roads will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Appleby Gardens, First Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 26 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (FRENCHS AVENUE, DUNSTABLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Frenchs Avenue, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable the installation of traffic calming and associated measures to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 14 February to 11 April 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure. Access will be maintained for residents.
The Order will come into operation on 14 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BRAMPTON RISE, DUNSTABLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Brampton Rise, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 14 February 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Langdale Road.
The Order will come into operation on 12 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Katherine Drive, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable surface dressing and lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 14 February 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Poynters Road, Luton Road, Woodford Road, Brandreth Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 8 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BYSLIPS ROAD, STUDHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Byslips Road, Studham outside number 24.
This temporary closure is required to enable telegraph pole and overhead cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on
12 February 2024 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Clayhall Road, B4540, Dunstable Road, Clements End Road, Byslips Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 12 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
